Exclusive: Before Afghan collapse, Biden pressed Ghani to ‘change perception’
WASHINGTON, Aug 31 (Reuters) - In the last call between U.S. President Joe Biden and his Afghanistan counterpart before the Taliban seized control of the country, the leaders discussed military aid, political strategy and messaging tactics, but neither Biden nor Ashraf Ghani appeared aware of or prepared for the immediate danger of the entire country falling to insurgents, a transcript reviewed by Reuters shows.

Predictable answer from the trump cult. Any time one of you attempt to attack Biden but forget trump was far worse, you throw out the "whataboutism" or "but trump."
You don't have to like it....but that doesn't make it any less true.
And I've repeatedly said Biden screwed up the exit strategy. However, labeling his entire presidency up to this point as a "failure and embarrassment" is painting with quite a broad brush. This is Biden’s complete fu** up. This couldn’t have been handled any worse. You don’t have to like it, but that doesn’t make it any less true. No amount of “but trump said” arguments change anything. Biden has been a complete failure and embarrassment so far.
I never said he doesn't get credit. I was simply stating he only wants you to take take half of what he states at face value and they I don't believe he is calling all of the shots. Sorry if we got our wires crossed. If you don’t believe he is in charge, then why are you blaming him for the bungled withdrawal? If you answer because he is President, then I don’t know how you don’t say he gets credit for making the decision to leave.
I’m not following why you can have it
both ways.
He gets blame because he is President, but for any credit, he wasn’t really the one in charge?
I'm not a Trump supporter but I would like to see a list of things Trump handled worse than Biden. You could argue Covid but after that I'm not sure where one could go.Predictable answer from the trump cult. Let's wait 20 years and take a look at the presidential rankings.
I would start with trump had no actual plan for his administration. It consisted of nothing more than attempting to further the "trump" brand. He had a revolving door in about every cabinet position and had a secretary of state that said he was a f-ing idiot. He daily did nothing but tweet nonsense and attempt to further the divide that existed in this country when he was elected. When asked what his plans were for the country if he was to be re-elected, he had nothing to say.I'm not a Trump supporter but I would like to see a list of things Trump handled worse than Biden. Understandable.
I'm just wondering if what I have been hearing lately is true or not. The reason why we are having to rely on commercial aircrafts and allies and what not to assist with the evacuations is because we have an enormous maintenance backlog with our fleet.
If I had to bet, I would bet that our military does about the same as private industry in this country. Spend money up front on capital, but then skimp and penny-pinch on maintenance. Run to failure as much a possible.

And yet you responded to my post...and with nothing more than making fun of a username. Solid.I'm not going to waste time responding to your post, but I will thank you for choosing the perfectly descriptive username. With most posters it's difficult to gauge where they're coming from, but when you nail the username it makes it easier on everyone.
