TE Coaching Hire ???

Huepel likes guys he's familiar with. I'm guessing it's one of the following...

Matt Wells (Analyst at Oklahoma. Former HC at Utah St. & Texas Tech)
Luke Wells (TE coach at Tulsa. Former TE coach at Utah St.)
Jon Cooper (OL coach at Western Carolina & former TE coach at UCF)

Which one of them is the best recruiter?

Wasn't Wells formerly on UT's staff in some capacity?

Just curious...............we rarely ever even use a tight end to throw too. Why even hire a coach for tight end if we never throw to them ?

I think Heupel gives Quarles a call for what it’s worth.

He coaches football too?

True, but he could also be a terrible coach and not recruit anyone. Fact is, he has never coached at any level so there is no coaching record to evaluate. I think the stakes are too high to hire a coach with no history to base his being hired.
Jmo but there’s no way I would sign up for the college coaching gig with a family and the NFL money he has made already. The recruiting demands are more than a lot of coaches are cut out for regardless of coaching ability.
