Teague, Waggner, and Wilkes all over 4.70 in the 40

Math still conquers all.

A 4.7 after what I assume is months on preparation. Looked like about a 5.3 last year.

Sal's sloth defense was sooo painful to watch.

Another year at UT could've done wonders for Sentimore.

Unless he had grade issues, him leaving makes no sense.

He was not going to get any better. He had been thru Bama & got another chance in the SEC. And still he did nothing with it. He did make one play in our big games (sack against Bama). Proud of him for that. Makes you wonder where he got the idea he was an early entry candidate. Good luck to him though.

I remember the days when UT's DB's were the fastest players on the field. Hope we get there again soon.

Wilks runs slightly faster than the speed of light. They didn't realize that he ran around the Earth 8 times prior to the 40 yards.

Even more his fault. That's why you don't put Teague on the field in space, 1 on 1, against floridas fastest receiver on 3rd down in a huge momentum swinging play that basically ended the game and the year for our best defensive player who tore his acl trying to help our dumbass coaches win that game!

whew. One breath with crescendo rising throughout.

What best defensive player? Randolph?

I thought he got hurt in the NC State game

It was the coaches fault that Teague was out there to begin with. He's a great kid and good athlete but he doesn't have sec d back speed. He should've never moved from slot receiver. He could have been useful there. R kinda reminds me of Gerald jones. He didn't have great speed either. We lost the fl game because the fl coaching staff notice Teague out there and targeted him. The roasted him 3 times for huge plays in the second half. One of those plays, the te just flat out blew him off the field. Another play Randolph tore his acl trying to run the play down from behind. Teague never should have seen the field as db. But those are the decisions we paid dools millions to make

I saw him play as a freshman at wide receiver and always thought he should have been kept there. Although, i'm not sure he would have received much playing time behind the receivers that were recruited after him.

I wish Teague could have stayed at receiver. He would have been much more productive.
You may be right, but we were really short on db's. It's not like the bench was full of safeties and shut down corners who ran 4.5's. From 2009 through 2012, we lost db's to being injured, being kicked off, quitting, and not making it into the university. Unfortunately, he was probably our best option.

The thing I don't understand about Teague was that he was highly recruited. He had a large offer sheet and was early committed of UF. Kiffin stole him away at the last minute. Then after all the recruiting hype, he simply faded year after year after year. It seemed he never found the position he could excel at but was rather set up to fail.

I watched Teague outrun everyone in high school ball. Even in 09 he seemed like a pretty solid receiver. You can watch his highlight film from high school. He was faster than a 4.7.... If you blame anyone blame the coaches. The guy is a good guy and switched to D to help out because no one else was available. He's more of a VFL than most of you tards will ever be.

I am not sure that anyone was to blame. Teague did what he thought was best for the team. He may have been told that was where his future was. Who really knows?

I'm not one to put too much stock in 40 times, but this is very telling. Slow DBs + Complicated (terrible) system = even slower DBs

so... 40 times dont mean much?.....interesting. IT MEANS A LOT! Speed kills, thus the debacle last yr. Sorry, but sometimes i get on here just for laughs. Thats crazy.

Hughes and Rogers come back to workout for the pros on campus? I consider myself to be a decent guy, but fellas, you blew it and hurt our program and team. Workout somewhere else.

I see that, all that chaffing in your butt-crack, really bothers you doesn't it. I'd say you are responsible for it and not others. However, it is an NFL function, not a school function. They should be welcomed by all.

Who exactly was he outrunning? Maybe they were even slower than he was.

Wtf are you talking about.

If they wanted to have a pro day on UT's campus, they should've stayed with the program and done the right thing. Its my opinion, dq. There is no chaffing.
