You previously stated he’d have to be Top 10 guarantee, do you not realize the difference?
Who cares and what difference does it make? Top 10 is considered lottery so I still stand by that. I believe if he's not a lottery pick he'll stay, how's that? Once again, what point are you trying to make? His family values education, they didn't send him to Webb High School because of their basketball program. Are you of the impression that it's different?

Myself and a couple other posters stated he may be a one and done and you chimed in that you knew he family and that we were wrong. That even if he was lottery pick he wouldn’t leave, we stated that it’s hard to pass up that kind of money and you told us how we should talk to his parents like you have because they don’t value money over education and that he wouldn’t leave unless a Top 5 pick. Now you’re saying what the rest of us were saying months ago, that it’ll be hard to pass up that kind of money, quite the change in tone.

I never said I knew the family mr gotcha. My nephew and niece went to high school with him at Webb, nephew played basketball 2 seasons with him. I've met his folks at those games, talked with Keon a couple of times, once right after he got his offer from Barnes. I said then and now, my opinion from those meetings are that education is very important to them and that they seem to be in sound shape financially, though that's just speculation on my part and for those reasons I'd be surprised if he's a one and done deal. I'm never surprised that a lottery pick goes pro as they absolutely should for that guaranteed money no matter what their life situation, but I'm also not surprised that there are families that still value education over the possibility of being drafted in the 1st round. I've been on the Keon train for 4 years now since watching him play as a SO in HS so you can do whatever you want to do with my opinions of him and his future in basketball.

Maybe someone else was posting under your username then.

any idea of what the basketball rotation will look like? bailey starting over freshman?
If the season started today I think you would see Pons, Fulky, James, Vescovi, and Keon as the starting five. Springer (or James if Springer starts) Anosike and Bailey all play heavy minutes. I don't think Bailey starts but I have been told he has been shooting the lights out in the past three scrimmages so maybe he makes a move.

It's a shame we have all this talent, and may end up not many playing games due to Covid
Agree completely. This would be the most UT thing ever this year and why we can’t have nice things. The basketball team is our saving grace. This team looks awesome for the foreseeable future. Praying they get to play.

I can see it now. It’s so obvious because it’s such a Tennessee thing. We’ll get like half a season of basketball if we’re lucky, the tournament will be cancelled again and then Keon will leave for the NBA next summer and we’ll never get to see the potential of this team ever fulfilled.

As Tennessee fans, we all know life hates us and doesn’t want us to have nice things. So this is obviously going to happen.

Yup. The only thing you're obviously missing is that Jaden and Pons will also both be gone next year. Fulky and Anosike will go overseas. Whole new team in 21-22. Stick a fork in me.

Back in August. Pulaski wouldn’t entertain entertain the thought of Keon leaving early
I still don't think he'll leave early unless he's a early lottery pick with guaranteed big money. I think it's odd the fascination some of you have with fans being wrong. Situations change pretty rapidly sometimes in sports, sometimes things play out the way you think, it's really impossible to predict and I guess I just don't understand the gotcha culture you guys seem to have wet dreams over.

"Sound shape financially" and NBA money are completely different things. Unless you are Peyton Manning and your parents are super rich, the only reason you would stay is if you thought staying would improve your draft status. No doubt he and his family value education, but I can guarantee that neither he nor his parents anticipate him staying all 4 years in college. So, the idea of "getting a degree," at least the traditional way, is not something on their radar.

For me it’s that you were acting like those of us saying “it would be hard to pass up that money” were wrong and that you had spoke with his family and knew their situation, and that in your words if he wasn’t a Top 5 pick he wouldn’t go. Now you’re essentially saying the same thing you told us all we were wrong for saying “that if he’s a lottery pick it’s hard to pass that up”.

You and I had a big disagreement about it because you even went as far as to say how it’s common for lottery picks to return to school for 2 or even 3 years.

Fine, you win, you evidently know that he's going to get drafted and he's a one and done, enjoy your champaign when it happens.

He went to a high school that's $20,000/year to attend, a school known much more for their academics than their athletics. I personally think anyone that gets big guaranteed money should go pro but not everyone thinks the same way. He may indeed be a one and done I just personally think that he'll stay a couple of seasons unless he's all but guaranteed to be a lottery pick.

FWIW I'm glad you remember me as I've no clue of ever remembering you.

Strangely KJ would be better off with this season getting canceled.
He’s skyrocketed up the board and imo is better off not playing
