Team News (current roster)

One interesting thing, with Aidoo back, that I don’t think I’ve ever seen before here, is that when the Vols go five-on-five the starters get a chance to work against an all-freshman opposing team of Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, Aidoo, Zakai Zeigler, Jahmai Mashack and Quintin Diboundje.

This will help for years and years. Being able to play against an SEC level lineup as freshmen is great!

Haven’t seen it mentioned before, but Myles Turner seem like a good comp for BHH? Gave Texas 22m 10pts 7rbd a game as a freshman, only started 7/34 games. 6’11” 240lbs.
I know Myles turner played a lot at the 4 in college but you think BHH gets a decent amount of run at center this year?

Are you seeing BHH as an all-SEC type player this year?
If he can average 10 and 7 on a team that competes for the conference title, he’ll get votes in that direction. I’m just happy that he seems to be taking to the challenges and improving, coaches are recognizing it, and he’s being rewarded for his hard work. He just seems like a kid that needed to be challenged by his coach, and then see his efforts be rewarded. I find it no surprise that his best two showings came in the Davidson scrimmage and then the exhibition vs L-R. He is showing his coaches he belongs on the floor. The kid I saw on Saturday is the most dominant true big man we’ve had in years. Can he maintain that same level of play vs better competition…that’s the question.

I may have missed this somewhere, but I expect the opening lineup Tues as follows :

Chandler
Vescovi
JJJ
Nkam
BHH

What do you guys think? Bhh before Plav?

Myles Turner has had a 40+ point/ 10+ rebound game this year and hit 7 three's in a game, this week. BHH is going to be a beast, but I'll wait a couple of games before I compare him to Turner

Comparing freshman BHH to freshman Turner, not 7th year NBA Myles Turner lol…thought that was pretty obvious.

Damn - I was starting to think BHH was going to make some noise this year then out of nowhere he gets the Treppie “wrong every time” curse thrown on him!

I got the most important thing right though. I said from day 1 Milton was trash. I’ll take that one football forum win.

*breaking Milton throws for 500+ yards against UGA to lead UT past the bulldogs*
