Tebow Goes in First Round to Denver

Josh McDaniel is a hell of a QB coach. He has his work cut out for him with Tebow but if you're going to take a chance on a guy you couldn't take a guy with better character and work ethic. I hope he does well.

Great post. I agree with you.

The same multimillion dollar sports franchise that fired Mike Shanahan and hired Josh McDaniels, then allowed him to run off their two best offensive players. Try again.

Marshall was gone with Shanahan as well. That was not a McDaniels problem, that was a Brandon Marshall problem. The Cutler trade would've been fine, if they weren't complete idiots when it comes to drafting.

Moreno, Ayers, and trading a future first for Alphonso Smith might all be worse moves than the Tebow pick.

i love the draft people talking about tebow's intangibles as though that changes everything. how many guys with great intangibles haven't even sniffed the nfl? how many huge d-bags have been all pros?

I'm sorely depressed that this thread has only 14 pages. I thought VOL fans were more obsessed than this.

most of it was gator fans keeping it alive (and it's only 5 pages to the message board literate :whistling:)

I believe Warren Sapp said something along these lines but I'm not sure: "Hard to be a leader when you're third string"

Bodog sets over/under on Tebow rushing TD's for '10 season at 1.5, odds starting season at QB? 50-1

I don't gamble but I'm very tempted to put $100 on the over here. That's almost a gimme in my book.

I definitely would. His chances of being the starter are diddly dick, but I'm sure they'll use him in some sort of Wildcat package.

I, personally, would not take that bet. I think there is a very good chance he doesn't see the field.

Tim Tebow is bigger than any RB they have on their current roster.
Bigger does not mean better. Look the whole Tebow walking on water works in college. He will get lit the f up in the NFL. Those 10 yard runs he got in college will be 3 yard runs in the pros. Those 5 yarders will be TFL's. People seem to forget Tebow runs like a fairly agile FB not a HB. Needless to say I would not risk my future "franchise QB" for a few goal line plays. But given his record of boneheaded choices McDaniels just might. It should be noted however McDaniels has said Tebow is going to be used strictly as a QB. The only way Tebow see's the field this year is if Denver is totally out of playoff contention (which they will be by week 14) and realistically barring a miracle he is 2 years out at best from being an NFL QB. I seriously don't see him being a better NFL qb prospect than Brady Quinn and he definitely comes in less prepared than Quinn was. As a rookie there is no way he beats out Orton or Quinn.

Where did I say bigger meant better? I didn't read the rest of your drivel...
