Techno-fascism

I don't know if they were calling for violence. I have my doubts. But I guarantee if any prominent twitter Trumpers posted the following, they would get outright banned. Why hasn't Carlos been banned?

What is the basis for your doubts? Are you denying that the Trump coalition includes a very active minority that is willing to resort to violence and a very vocal plurality, including Trump, that cheers them on?

It’s hard to say whether you’re correct about the milkshake because the calls to action from that Trumpist plurality are things like “run them down” (Glenn Reynolds, Instapundit) and “Knock the crap out of him, will you? I promise you I will pay your legal fees.” (Donald J. Trump, President of the United States) or “It's childish and deserves the same play ground response, smack in the mouth and kick in the ass, then maybe these smart mouthed pusses will stop” (TennVols77, VolNation user).

When you build a political coalition that embraces skinheads and proud boys, when you make insinuations about what they’ll do if you don’t get your way, when they actually run people down and knock the crap out of them, then everybody outside of that coalition starts taking threats of violence seriously.

Are there miscreants on the left? Of course. Should they be egged on? No. And I wouldn’t have a problem with Twitter suspending gaymonk or whatever his name is. But right and wrong is more nuanced than simple black and while. Hitting someone with a milkshake isn’t right, but it’s not as wrong as intentionally hitting them with your car.

Alternatively (although it’s somewhat related): capitalism. But other people are already making that argument.

Almost no one uses IE on their phone.

Internet users left PCs/laptops for smart phones.

IE could be best browser in the world, but Most people won’t use if it’s not pre-installed on their device.

If it were the best browser in the world, its share would be a tiny bit more than 3%. Everybody knows it flopped because it sucked. IE was the butt of all jokes.

No because it’s an apples to oranges comparison. IE was used at a time when desktops were prevalent. That changed and they were monopolized to the back burner.

I already destroyed this point. You're slower than IE.

You guys are also completely missing the point. Essentially you're saying technology evolved and that changed IE's market share. Exactly. Technology is going to continue to evolve and it will disrupt the industry as we currently know it. That's the fkn point I'm making.

You didn’t destroy that point that’s what happened. You also said it’s because they failed to offer the best solutions. There was no solution to offer. They fell victim to tech monopolies not because they offered a bad product.

Poor Microsoft.

Poor Microsoft,

IE had 65% of market share 10 years ago, now just 3%. This is what happens when tech companies don't continue to offer the best solutions.

Has nothing to do with IE or best solutions. Google has the android side of the market completely by the nuts. 10 years ago a phone hardly had a browser worth a ish much less the internet speed to run it.

10 years ago they didn't have the audacity to ban over spilled milk. Today, with their size and money, they do.

Hitting someone with a milkshake is no different than a brick, self defense wise.

The gay dude pushing this kind of BS is going to get someones azz whipped. Most likely a kid that actually thinks there's a difference.

How many times does this point have to be destroyed? Chrome has 65% of the desktop market. Do some basic research or just read this thread. Chrome has a bigger market share on desktop in the US than they do on mobile.

The point is that innovation disrupts the company dominating the market. Smartphones disrupting IE is a great example of that. Disruptive innovation is not over. It's going to keep happening and Google's days are numbered, unless they stay the best. IE was not the best, obviously, otherwise it'd have 65% of desktop users.

IE was the biggest before chrome. They didn't ban or throw their ideology on people and still don't.

Chrome has made their money off of mobile operating systems. Not a POS browser that works in conjunction with Windows.

Not sure what your point is. We're talking about whether or not Google will stay on top if they don't stay the best. How does this relate to that question? If they are treating people unfairly, they are threatening their own market share, thus increasing their chance of falling sooner, rather than later.

My point is you showed a video chart of chrome jumping out in the lead the last 10 years. People choose to run it on a pc. Its preloaded on 1/2 the market of mobile phones in the world in conjunction with their operating system.

Not sure you’re going to get anywhere using rational argument against people who are saying Microsoft is a victim of tech monopolies and who continue to ignore the fact that you’re referencing desktop market share.

Anecdotally, I remember switching from IE around 2004 because of issues with pop up ads and they were late to the party on browser tabs.

You're totally missing the point of that graphic. The point is that market dominance doesn't last, particularly in tech.

Not sure what you’re talking about. You keep changing from one talking point to another and act like it’s all relative. It isn’t. IE’s fall was as much to do with hardware innovations as it was software. The way the market has been monopolized it’s a success they have 3%.

IE (Microsoft) did that to themselves. They aren't hurting for money. Just like Google they are on half of the PC's sold in the world.
