He just picked up and moved his family across the country last year. Maybe moving so soon again wasnt in his family's best Interest.

I'm Tee Martin. I'm going to turn down 400,000 that I'm making at my present job because if I don't everyone will question my VFL status and claim I don't love my children.

(1) He showed up at U.T. to tell bUTch in person and look him in the eyes, like a real man and not on a phone.

(2) Okay, he is recruiting high school players from the state of Tennessee. What if USC were not recruiting those kids? Would they automatically want to come to U.T. and not a different college. So, if they did not attend USC, then you would assume they would automaticlly come to U.T.?


The thing that angered me was his joy when we lost to Ky. in 2011.......

First of all let me congratulate you on one of the dumbest posts in the sites history. Without Tee Martin we not have our only national championship of the modern era. That in itself entitles him to be more VFL than you. Just because you lurk on a free site because you have nothing else to do with your life does not entitle you to say you are VFL. How many years did you play for TN?

Second of all, LSU fans that hate Saban are almost as dumb as you. LSU was a terrible program throughout the 90s and he helped bring that program back to prominence.

Third, comparing our QB of a national title team to a scum bag that left a few weeks before NSD and forced us to hire Derek Dooley is incomprehensible to me. Our program still has not recovered from that. The next time you want to criticize someone for doing what is best for their family think. The perception of our program right now is not good. Recruits and media members read these sites. You are no better than the morons that vandalized Aaron Murray's house. Please use your brain cell to think before you post.

Pretty upsetting and telling that he would solidly say "no" to us the way he did. It's embarrassing and speaks volumes about the state of our program.

While it does indeed hurt and is very hard to swallow,we all know a man must do what's best for the fam but Damn!!

However, Your statement is asinine and pure emotion with zero logic. You think Tee just helped in 98' and that his contribution...REALLY?... REALLY?... Dude he gave four years to the UT and arguably the most impressionable time in a young persons life and this is the time he chose to be lead by our beautiful UT and wonderful coaching staff.

With all due respect my friend but you, just as I, have zero idea of what Tee actually did for the UT. I don't claim to be the all knowing UT historian but I believe I can make a SERIOUS argument that had he not won the first BCS Championship the UT would have been in the doldrums much earlier than today... I argue that if we didn't have that 98' title then we have even less of a footing and less lore to pitch to prospects and families.

I'm hurt too man but you are being an extremist IMO. Also you MUST know that you cannot in any fashion compare a coaches career path and choices to that of a student athlete. TOTALLY DIFFERENT WORLDS MAN... As we see with our current hire, he has left a championship team behind. He is gone but those kids are still there man...and they will rep the UC just as proudly as they did before. You know why?? Because they made their pledge and now when/if they do special things and can be team leaders in adverse times, those are just skimming the surface of what impact we as fans don't see from the stands, our couches, the sidelines or these boards.

The real question is how will all the people feel "That think I am a moron" for not thinking TM is a VFL if he accepts the Bama job.

They will prob say the same thing. "He did it for his family" "It is just a business decision"

Honestly most of the people here praise him like he is a god, but those same people bash Fulmer and say he was a bad coach."

Tee Martin could Pi$$ on Gen. Neylands grave. And most of the posters here would say "He still is a VFL, he prob just had to pee."

Don't necessarily agree...(as if you care). Does indeed sting but he is in LA and his wife is happy. He may be kicking himself when Lame is let go before the season ends next year...IMO. Who's to say he wouldn't be name interim HC. WHO KNOWS?

However, this says NOTHING about our program bro. Tee's in a pretty bad ass locale and has a damn good recruiting base and lets not forget "Happy wife Happy life"...

so what, he was a duel threat qb, u know how many OC's can coach that and how many other qb's out there have a history of running that offense....Sure it would of been nice to have an alum with all the above, but its not a big deal. Go get kordell stewart he won a few bowl games......

I guess by your logic Peyton Manning is a traitor too because he isn't working for the Univesity and playing for the Broncos instead? Or how about the fact that Peyton wanted BJ to work for the University of Colorado? Your line of thinking is bizarre...

The NFL teams have nothing to do with college football teams, so your logic makes no since.


Peyton wanted BJ to come to Colorado, before Tennessee was intrested in BJ.

And the Broncos head coach didnt make Tennessee the laughing stock of football.

Apparently since Peyton didn't quit the broncos to help us we should stone him too. As a matter a fact line all the former vols that are coaches somewhere else up and shoot them too.
