You do realize coaching is Tee livelihood.
It is business. He has to do whatever he thinks is the best for his future and his family.

Op does have a point. Tee should have known we are in a fragile state and coming in for an interview, parading his family around, only to turn us down probably wasn't the best PR move. Butch and Tee should have handled this a little more discretely

SDV, with all due respect, you're wrong. He chose what was best for his family. His kids here in Knoxville are in the custody of their mom, but he takes care of them. Being in LA is better for his wife, with whom he also has kids. He had to make a tough decision and he made the one he felt was right. He didn't put his career above his kids. He had to make a decision on what was best for his entire family. What benefit is there in moving here if his wife is going to be miserable? Would you rather he break up his family or coach at UT? People crying he's not a VFL or he turned his back on UT, that's just ridiculous. He gave his all on the football field for UT and is more VFL than 99.9% of VN posters. I'd say 100%, but I believe other former players post on VN and if so, I don't want to disrespect them.

Tee Martin rejects Tennessee Vols to stay with Lane Kiffin...Kiper.

Tee would rather be loyal to a guy that screwed us badly. A guy with no loyalty...Kiffin.
Tee is a great disappointment, no matter how many apologists argue otherwise.

Tee made the right decision for his family I guess but I don't think he can be labeled a VFL after he turned us down...IMO
