Would bet anything he is coming. He and Jones are class acts and arent Kiffin. Would bet he wants to tell his players in person and for them not to hear about it elsewhere. He knows Kiffin wont likely be there next season and sounds like he isnt very happy working under Lane. He will be here.

Give it time. It is a lot to uproot your family (especially if his wife isn't behind it) and move towns, jobs, etc.

No reason to meltdown yet. If he wasn't coming he would know and I think we would know. We will have plenty of time to meltdown should to worse happen.

@TennesseeBeat: Tee Martin said he's very happy at USC and was not actively looking to leave. Said he's proud of Trojans' recruiting class.

I agree. I don't think he would have flown here with his family if he no intentions of taking the job.

If Tee just wanted to see what we were offering, he could have done that over the phone. JMO though.

Yea you didnt read that article posted earlier from LA did you? Basically says the exact opposite. He isnt going to publically say he doesnt like working for his current boss. Come on dude does that seriously have to be explained? # ShakingHeadand LMFAO

Very good point. Very long flight to take, with his family none the less if he wasn't interested.

There was an article out in L.A. that suggested that assistant coaches were unhappy about the way Kiffin ran things. I think the article implied that TM thought running the same drills over and over were ineffective. I'll have to dig it up. TM clearly stated that he was in fact happy at USC according to tennesseebeat.

Exactly..He went to school in Knox for 4 yrs and didnt need to visit to see the area.

Leaning that way as well...Haden will ante up the money and kick Kiffen's azz to upgrade Tee's coaching duties.

Long shot he will take the UT job...but let's hope.

That concerns me as well.

You have to think that tarnishing his legacy here if it doesn't work out with this staff is in the back of his mind.

I want him on the staff more than I wanted Gruden as HC. It will sting if he doesn't take it but I wouldnt hold it against him either. Maybe in 10-12 years he can come back as HC.

If he chooses USC and Lane Kiffin over UT for similar money terms, after parading his family through the airport and the fanfare he received, then that doesn't seem very VFL to me.

I want Tee back here as much as the next guy (who isn't a USC fan). That said, keep in mind that if his wife/kids loves/love it out there it could be a tough sell, especially since it's a lateral move. A lot goes into relocating a family, changing jobs, etc...

All that said, I think he comes home. Kiffin isn't looking super stable after last season, and if he truly feels CBJ has UT "going in the right direction" he could get on board early.

I'm thinking he stays. If it was a promotion he would come. He has more visibility at USCw. Also, Kiffin is known for offence and the more time under him will look better on a resume. Just a guess.
