I will go with Terry Fair on this one. He seemed pretty assured that Martin would take the job.

Maybe Tee can see what many others believe: Our new coach was a panic hire. Maybe not.

But to question his VFL status only makes you look stupid. Anyone that questions it is an idiot.

I hope he comes home, but if he is better served by staying at USC, I wish him all the best.

We need to look at this three ways....

If CBJ went to LA to see Tee and came back emty handed...40/60 chance or worse

If Tee came here alone, met CBJ and left without a commitment...50/50 chance and looks like it could happen

If Tee comes and brings family along for just one day all the way from L.A....better than a 50/50 chance.

Does anyone know if his wife has ever seen inside Neyland and the Ath Dept? I bet that was a first for his son as well. Bringing his family along for a half-a-day was the key. I bet he was trying to sell UT to the wife.

Good grief ...... Relax yall if tee wasn't coming he would have already said so .... He is goin to go back to usc so he can tell kiffen to suck it I'm goin to my dream job now ....... Peace out.... Imo

I agree with this. It will be harder for her to say no when she saw how he was treated like a god today. Hoping this goes down. I had a really negative outlook when CBJ was hired, but I think it was more about the disappointment of being rejected. He's passing the first tests with flying colors. I loved Ainge's segment on their meeting this morning.

No kidding Tee could easily already accepted and signed on the dotted line for all we know.Kiffin gave Tee a huge boost to his career. Kentucky to USC is quite an uprade. Im sure Tee wants to handle it the right way. I just hope CBJ realizes how big this is to fans and didn't give him a lowball offer. Not to mention recruiting. If Tee doesn't come it will be more shocking then Strong by a mile.

People need to understand that despite the high profile lifestyle of these coaches they still have a life and weigh their decisions like everyone else.
Tee loves UT, there is no doubt but he also has a future and a family to consider. To say that two days is long enough to know or not know and to have a decision on whether or not to uproot his family and move them 3/4's of the way across the country is ridiculous.
Allow him the time to weigh the pros and cons of a major life decision and welcome him if he comes and respect him if he doesn't.
It's not nearly as simple or cut and dry as a lot of you make it out to be.

Much like making a pie or making love to a beautiful woman, you have to take your time.


We all just need to be patient and see how it plays out. Not getting the timing right can lead to disaster!

Holy hell!
I cannot believe some people are talking about revoking Tee's VFL card if he doesn't come here! You guys do remember he was the QB on our last NC team, right?

It just seems strange that Tee is taking days to decide on Tennessee position coach job, the place where he was, and is, a hero, but Coach Butch Jones only took hours to make the decision to become the HEAD COACH because he wanted to be a VOL!

Yea I'm worried too. Once he gets back out there and the Kiffster puts that voodoo hex on him he may choose to stay.

I agree. It a business and he has to decide what is best for him and his family. That being said, I do want him here.

Means his wife likes Southern California better. No its hard to tell what choice he will make.

I'm not sure that his job is any more secure at USC than it would be at UT under a new regime.
