Tee's coming home

Flat out wrong. Many, many places in this great country are just as hospitable as the south. I love my wife, that's the only reason I reside here. I have many great friends that do or die by the 'southern creed", whatever that is. And I would bend over backwards to help them if asked. But on the flip side, the education level, IMO, is sorely lacking in the southern states. Basically, a region that puts religion above education is what they do in places like Iran and Afghanistan and it stunts or inhibits the populace from free thinking (the south). Back on subject, if Tee decides to once again become a Vol, hell yes - Welcome Back!

Speaking of those who can't think too well, how is it coming with the parade you wanted to have for Dooley? When is that happening?

If I culd understand what you writed, I'm purdy shore thems wood be fightin wurds...

I honestly have to wonder about Butch Jones' ability to recruit if he can't even get Tee Martin (who loves this place) to come back and coach here, considering all the money he has to pay for assistants. Makes me question what kind of salesman he can be for UT, if he can't even get one of our own to come back here.

Butch Jones is a really good coach but don't expect him to turn water into wine. USCw is a really good program. Maybe better than UT at this point. Lane Kiffin gave Tee a good job when Tee was seeking one, and he has been very successful at USCw.

No he's not.

Negative idiot fan base and oodles of $$$$$ and Kiffin asskissing from USC made the decision easy.

What's bad is that if Wilcox had stayed, Tennessee would've had a MUCH better year than USC...so, for Tee to look at this program as a step down from USC....I really don't want him here, if it's really that tough of a choice.

Tee has to give up half his salary just for the CA cost of living, in terms of taxes and otherwise...so Kiffin would have to offer him double what we are, in order for it to be of equal value.

Exactly, when he got on the plane most people would know that they either want to be back here or that they don't. I honestly don't care what other factors are involved..he had his chance. I know coach Graham sure didn't hesitate

Well, looks like 'ole skeet got one wrong. Wonder what made him think it was a sure thing...

He said Tee was coming home. Tee came here yesterday and interviewed. This morning Skeet updated that it sounded like Tee wanted to be here but his wife wanted to stay in LA and that Tee was going to have a hard decision to make.

He's definitely been unreliable the last week. First saying he was a Strong was a sure thing then saying Tee was coming home

Strong said he was coming and then changed his mind - how was anyone supposed to predict that a person would change their mind when it came time to sign?

Yeah...the only reasons I see him staying at USC is: not wanting to uproot his family and he just prefers the area (wife being recording artist, etc). Other than that, I can think of several reasons to come back. Even if the money is same as what he is making in Cal. the cost of living would be significantly lower here in E. Tenn. Kiffin is probably not going to last at USC. Granted, Tee would be able to find a job very quickly soon after, but would it be here at UT? Doubt it. Here at UT, Tee is more than likely guaranteed 3 years and possibly more if Butch works out well. He is at the school where he played, in the SEC, fantastic facilities, and a chance to turn your alma mater back around into the powerhouse it used to be. Really struggling to make sense out of this one.

Ok...well I can accept that one...if his wife didn't want to leave then I can understand him staying.

I respect HIS decision but if his wife had any say so in convincing him to stay on the wrong coast for a chance to restart her recording career then she lacks common sense. Tee is not a rock star in Cali but he is Tennessee. She would have so many opportunities just because of who she was married to. IMHO

Skeeter is a fortune guesser. He waits for some smoke, then weighs the odds, and takes a gamble... When he comes up short he blames it on "last minute developments" that took everyone by surprise, etc etc.

Tee also has 2 kids here in Knoxville. Half of his children are here.

I don't buy the "uprooting" his family. Half of them are here.

See Kiffin ass kissing in previous post

Per Skeeter and Guys on Tos.

So skeeter was wrong yet again.

I've seen him make 3 predictions, all of which were untrue.

Maybe I just kept catching him on bad days, but I dont care on iota about his 'insider info'.

Make that now 4 predictions I've seen him make, which were all wrong.

I think we can stop with the 'Skeeter has inside sources' BS.
