Which is considered the greatest (or your favorite) Tennessee game against every SEC* opponent?

Name as many SEC teams as you want, but only one game per school.

*Games played before a team joined the SEC is allowed. You can also include any former or confirmed future members. Also doesn’t have to be just football.

Edit: If you are a fan of an opposing SEC school, you can play too.
If your favorite team isn’t an SEC school, pick your favorite game vs each SEC school, not your own conference (@BUBear )

I like the in attendance addition.
Are you gonna tell us what happened in 1997 or do we have to guess?

Good list.
For Old Miss I’m gonna go with the Bassvols game where The Vols destroyed them after Kiffin threw out the first pitch with a golf ball.

My Dad brought my mom, younger brother, and myself to Neyland for Peyton's last home game. We did the twist with Chubby Checker at halftime. You could feel the entire stadium twisting. It was an ugly game but a W is a W.

I've been trying to talk my Dad into going to a game with me/us for two decades. He lost part of his eyesight due to an eye infection shortly after that game, so he refuses to go back, even though he is a a huge VFL (and the reason I am as well). I have surprised him with tickets more than once and he just refuses to go (2015 Kentucky i took my wife and kids to their first game. he was supposed to go but backed out). When he finally told me that he couldn't see the field well enough to go, I understood. None of us can afford tickets up close.

So that was the last game we attended together, before life changed for all of us.

Kentucky...basketball....maybe 1991. Vols score 4 points in final couple of seconds to win the game. Houston's final year I believe. Intentionally missed second free throw, Corey Allen got the put back and was fouled and won it at the FT line.

Alabama - 2022
Arkansas - 1998
Auburn - 1997 (not many good ones here, they have beat us a lot lately)
Florida - 1998
Georgia - 2007
Kentucky - 2021
LSU - 2022 (2005 is runner-up)
Mississippi - I don't have one that stands out. I think that 2010 was kind of a fun matchup
Mississippi State - 1998
Missouri - I don't really care. It seems like this game is a blow out most years one way or the other
South Carolina - 2015 or 1999 (the 1999 was when Tee Martin tied NCAA record for completions)
Texas A&M - I hate to say it but 2016 game was exciting even though we lost
Vanderbilt - Every year we win. 2000 was memorable because I was there and it was funny seeing Vandy fans flip from orange to black and gold when Vandy started winning.

I really didn't start watching CFB until around 1997 and I didn't watch it heavily until 1999. I graduated highschool in early 2000s so I was pretty young during Manning era and too young to understand it prior to Manning era.

Forgot about that, when I think of Kentucky and Houston I think of the 50 point horrible loss in Lexington.

Bama -1995 the 41-14 win at Bama. Joey Kent TD 1st play of the game

Florida 1990 45-3 beat down, Dale Carter KO return to start the 2nd half

Auburn 1985 beat down of Bo

LSU 2005 the big comeback on the Monday night game post Katrina

UGa - 2016 Dobb Nail boot Hail Mary

UK - this year

Vandy - not worth picking one

Miss State -1998 SECCG

Arkansas -1990 Cotton Bowl (before they were in SEC, but it was the best game I remember with them. 1998 sucked, we played terrible, but it was a magical ending)

Carolina - 2009, 1st ever black uni for the Vols

Ole miss - honestly can’t recall a great one. Weird because we played them annually before the SEC went to divisions.

Mizzou and A&M too new to have a “favorite” game

All great picks, especially the pre-SEC Arkansas bowl game.
