Tennessee #4 in Coaches Poll; #3 in AP Poll

They come and place gifts at our feet. The treasure today far outshines that of yesterday. One gets the impression this escalation of tribute-giving has only just begun.
It's nice to see Tennessee's football program back to the level where they can go to major bowl games.

Who even pays attention to the coaches poll? For that matter the AP poll is just bragging rights. The only poll that matters is the college football playoff poll and we’d probably be #1.

#3 still sounds amazing after all these years waiting to get back to the race.

Oregon has averaged about 50 points per game on teams not named UGA. They scored 3 against UGA. Bama has played two teams currently ranked in the Top 25, us and Texas. The rest are nothing to write home about. UGA has currently played 1 team in the Top 25, No. 10 Oregon, and beat them 49-3. We have played one team currently ranked in the Top 25, Bama. Point is, it's best not for anyone to get too snooty about schedules at this point. UGA has racked up yards against everyone they have played this year and haven't allowed anyone to rack up many yards against them. Something no one else outside of perhaps Ohio State can say. We can beat them but they are better than Bama I think. They have shown the propensity to get bored with a couple of lesser teams and let them hang around, I think there is zero chance we sneak up on them. They will be ready. It will take our best effort and probably 2-3 stolen possessions and/or unforced errors.
My point was about comparing yards per game. Georgia has not played a tougher schedule over all compared to Bama in my opinion and it's apples to oranges to suggest an outcome based on yards per game gained or given up. Georgia won't look past us, nor will we look past them. It will be a good game, with a slight advantage to Georgia playing at home.
