We are actually higher than I thought we would be with both Michigan & Clemson winning….it will all play out on the field with us playing Georgia and Michigan playing Ohio St…enjoy today but it’s back to work tomorrow…GBO🧡

I think UGA is better than Alabama. They are second in the SEC in total offense and first in total defense. They will be a big challenge on the road, our crowd definitely helped us win yesterday.

I would agree with your assessment of Bennett and their offense not having the firepower of Bama, but think their defense might be a tad more aggressive and better rushing the passer. I don't think any coach in the SEC prepares their team as well as Saban and they couldn't stop us. If the ref's let them play like yesterday we got a great chance to win that game.

UGA's offense averages more yards per game than Bama's:

And Stetson Bennett somehow after 3 years continues to be way better than people give him credit for . The dude is a good QB. He's currently 11th out of 130 FBS quarterbacks in QBR. That said, I think we can beat them if everything falls into place. Their defense, while still the best in the conference is not as good as last year's. We need to punch them in the mouth with big plays early and take the crowd out of it and then never take our foot off the gas. We need to be probably +2 in turnovers also. Like killing Hyman Roth, beating them will be difficult, but not impossible.

For a revision of a previous thread i made: If I told you back in January of last year that in year 2 of the Heupel era, we would be 6-0 with 4 wins over ranked opponents (Pitt, Florida, LSU, and BAMA) and ranked #3 in the country, what would your reaction be?

It is absolutely incredible what Heupel has done in such a short time. It honestly feels like a dream right now.

Most of them have played 7 games. We’ve only played 6 and are at the top

We ought not take Stetson Bennett lightly but Georgia hasn't played a good defense yet this year

Honestly, yards per game isn't even a true measure of this offense's prowess. We get short fields due to the other offense going for it so often on 4th down

True. Tennessee is a weird defensive team. It really isn't a good defense but 2/3 of the units with it are good. It is just missing that strong secondary play. I think depth on defense is a problem as well and the calls are very aggressive to make up for it.

You can't compare average yards per game unless they both played the same teams. Georgia has played Oregon/Samford/South carolina/Kent State/Missouri,/Auburn/Vandy. 5 of those are cream puffs and they struggled to beat one of them( Missouri). Bama has played a tougher schedule ---IMHO--- Utah st/Texas/ULM/Vandy/Ark/Texas A&M. I think Georgia is beatable if we bring our A game and the refs don't intercede and give it to Georgia
