No. 6 Tennessee's stunning 52-49 win over No. 3 Alabama not only snapped a 15-game losing streak for the Volunteers in the series, it has also resulted in the Vols replacing the Crimson Tide in the updated College Football Playoff projection. After defeating Alabama for the first time since 2006, Tennessee now sits 6-0 on the season with one of the program's biggest wins of the last two decades.
Though Tennessee is replacing Alabama in the field of four, it is not taking Bama's exact seed. The Vols are projected for the No. 4 spot setting up what would be a rematch with No. 1 seed Georgia. The placement takes into account a projected win for Georgia over Tennessee on Nov. 5 with the Bulldogs going on to win the SEC Championship Game with the Vols finishing the season 11-1.

I actually think Georgia does not match up well with us if we bring an effort like we did last night. Stetson Bennett cannot get out of the blitzes like Bryce Young and Georgia's defense will have trouble with Heupel's offense. I think Heupel's offense is going to put a lot of pressure on them. Georgia fans are starting to get nervous.
Yeah I don’t know. I still have nightmares of Bennett scrambling through our defense last year like he was the second coming of Mike Vick. Our D line is much improved though.

• 11-1 Tennessee (loss to UGA)
• 11-1 Ole Miss (loss to Bama)

10-2 Bama Losses to TN and OM.

12-1 GA: loss to TN.

12-1 Ole Miss: Loss to Tennessee in the SEC championship

Tennessee exercises it’s ghosts. Bama, Ga, and Ole Miss (Kiffin), all in one season and then beating Michigan in the playoffs and Ohio St for the Championship.
Hell yeah. Go Vols.

We need Tillman back and we will be a force nobody wants to deal with.... Also need JM to get cleared to come back on D... Slaughter filled in solid and showed he can ball.. He is fast

You can't compare average yards per game unless they both played the same teams. Georgia has played Oregon/Samford/South carolina/Kent State/Missouri,/Auburn/Vandy. 5 of those are cream puffs and they struggled to beat one of them( Missouri). Bama has played a tougher schedule ---IMHO--- Utah st/Texas/ULM/Vandy/Ark/Texas A&M. I think Georgia is beatable if we bring our A game and the refs don't intercede and give it to Georgia
Oregon has averaged about 50 points per game on teams not named UGA. They scored 3 against UGA. Bama has played two teams currently ranked in the Top 25, us and Texas. The rest are nothing to write home about. UGA has currently played 1 team in the Top 25, No. 10 Oregon, and beat them 49-3. We have played one team currently ranked in the Top 25, Bama. Point is, it's best not for anyone to get too snooty about schedules at this point. UGA has racked up yards against everyone they have played this year and haven't allowed anyone to rack up many yards against them. Something no one else outside of perhaps Ohio State can say. We can beat them but they are better than Bama I think. They have shown the propensity to get bored with a couple of lesser teams and let them hang around, I think there is zero chance we sneak up on them. They will be ready. It will take our best effort and probably 2-3 stolen possessions and/or unforced errors.

Stop making sense. No one is prepared for rational thoughts on this beautiful wonderful Sunday evening after beating Alabama’s ass yesterday.

I know this doesn’t really matter, but I can’t believe how many times I’ve seen “exercise” used in the wrong context instead of “exorcise” this week. Just a pet peeve, but it makes me sad to see this so often. Do people know what they’re actually saying (I wonder to myself)?

Anyway, I digress. Go Vols, f*** Bama!

UGA's offense averages more yards per game than Bama's:

And Stetson Bennett somehow after 3 years continues to be way better than people give him credit for . The dude is a good QB. He's currently 11th out of 130 FBS quarterbacks in QBR. That said, I think we can beat them if everything falls into place. Their defense, while still the best in the conference is not as good as last year's. We need to punch them in the mouth with big plays early and take the crowd out of it and then never take our foot off the gas. We need to be probably +2 in turnovers also. Like killing Hyman Roth, beating them will be difficult, but not impossible.
UGA has played only one team who has been ranked at any point this season. Oregon is now 10th again for really no good reason. Since UGA thumped them, they've beaten an FCS team, BYU, Wazzou, Arizona, and Stanford. None of those teams are good. So the best team on UGA's record has a very weak resume themselves.

Besides Oregon, UGA struggled with a 2-5 Kent State team as well as 2-4 Mizzou. They haven't played an O yet besides Oregon that has a pulse.... and again Oregon's opposition has been awful.

Bennett is amazingly good. And he isn't nearly as good as B Young.

This will be tough. It is a road game against an extremely talented opponent. I don't think they're better than Bama on D. Bama had played better teams and was ahead of them prior to playing UT.

Strangely unless UF plays over their heads and gives UGA a battle... UGA will enter the UT game having not been challenged on either side of the ball by a good team.
