I love Calvi the most. I am ho hum on riser. Like the other 2 as well

I am hearing that Bohannon is already pursuing Ryder Green to de-commit from vandy. He recruited him hard and got him to commit to UK when he was there.

Still think Ryder will get drafted and sign but you never know. If he can come into TN and get a vandy commit to switch to a currently lackluster AL team I will be impressed.

Scouts are going to be very scared of his make up. Vandy isn't going to fight to keep him I bet

Holbrook might be a good fit here but I want to get the person that Ray Tanner has in mind to replace Holbrook with! Why should we always have to settle for the left overs in every coaching search. Make a statement hire John Currie!! Man, this coffee is good!:)

From all I have heard, Green is a hard worker and a good guy. His mom will not have any input or effect on Corbin or any other SEC or professional coach.

I see your point but kinda hard for a 17 yr old not to go along with his Momma. Especially a strong willed one. I'm inclined to give him a pass here but, your point is well taken.

He trained with them and helped with hitting. I do not think they are saying he's the best option available, just their opinion of him. I did not know if there was something about Lawson I was unaware of so I asked, but it seems it is just the lack of coaching experience. Which I have to agree, we do not need just a "nice guy," we need a winner who will get Tennessee playing winning baseball again.

Ok. He gave lessons to youngsters. I couldn't figure how how anyone would know he was a good teacher.

Truth be told we just lost a great "teacher" or developer of hitters. Stewart and Senzel are examples of non drafted HS hitters developing into elite talents.

Iirc he was a finalist for a job last year but didn't get it. I recall a Kendall Rogers tweet about it.

Interesting. Paychecks are important. So much for being local. I never heard or read any of that going around. There are some NAIA coaches at Faulkner, Freed-Hardeman (past & present coaches) and a few other schools who are winners and could probably elevate TTU baseball and fit in the budget.

I saw SE La. this year in person when they played at Vandy. Was very impressed with their team.

It may or may not be Riser's time to get a power 5 job, but that's certainly the trajectory he's on at this point.

Vols just lost a 2020 recruit from Franklin...Robert Hassell III. LHP/1b/OF
I am sure it was from the coaching uncertainty. My scout buddy said he was "decent, not great."
