Tennessee Buzz: Candidates To Watch - Kendall Rogers

Yes, Slim is very knowledgeable about the high level travel ball teams, especially in the South. He is also well liked and respected by those coaches. This would be a great duo if TN could pull it off. As you said, throw in a pitching coach and it would be awesome.

I would love Slim to be the HC but just don't see Currie giving him that shot just from being on the Serrano staff. I think he deserves the chance.

Yes and the pitching coach we all are looking for lives in Knoxville and loves UT. Slim could get him with a phone call.
Luke Hochevar's dad Brian. Hoch is also well known in travel ball. He has taught guys and helped them prepare for colleges all over. Raby at Vandy, Neely at UT just to name a couple, but the list is long and he is considered the best by many.

Went in there today, 66! It is HUGE, prefab metal building with concrete floor. Filled with miniature golf, electronic games, foosball, Leggo stations & the like. Not as impressive as fanfest activities at GA Dome & the like, but a multipurpose facility. Games going deep into the night due to rain & long innings. :hi:

Yep, I'm watching FSax, I'm watching...nothing like being there though.

Stay dry man!

66 I would be shocked if Calvi gets the Bama job. He is well known for roster turn over and cutting players. Hard to hire a guy that everyone knows does what you just fired your guy for.

Calvi may not get the Alabama job but his roster turnover is on par with most Division 1 programs where baseball is important.

I asked Arizona baseball coach Jay Johnson about possibility of former AD Greg Byrne reaching out to him regarding opening at Alabama (1/2)

So is this possible...Is the Texas baseball game being shown on the LHN or is it a football game from 1969?

I musta missed that,,,what you talking' about Willis?

He said taking a dose, and his partner was taken aback. Chris was talking about getting hit by a pitch, but his partner sounded like he thought he was talking about 1960's Haight Ashbury. I am drinking scotch, so I could be imagining things.

:eek:lol:

Is that cool record store still there, at Haight Ashbury I mean?

Amoeba is still there, along with a couple of other smaller record stores nearby.

That's the one. That was an eye opening experience for a Knoxville kid...people buying dozens of CDS/LPS at a time...that whole area there, an amazing experience for me back in the day.

I spent a lot of time there when I lived in the city. They also have one in Berkeley where I now spend a lot of time. And like the Haight, there are a lot of derelicts hanging outside.

One pitch...wow...

I think they have an Amoeba in LA too...or they did...had good in stores...

Whew, I'm worn out...starts again tomorrow at 10:30 AM....the night cap tomorrow is some serious pitching on paper...oh, UF pulled it out...I'm out 67, have a good night!
