Brice had a segment on 104.5 about the opening. He said we are watching several assistants in Hoover this week. He thinks Bohannon is definitely one. He mentioned the Maryland coach, Lawson, Burke (depending on the staff he would have), Helton pushing Cockrell, and said to also watch for Sarloos at TCU. He thinks Sarloos might get an interview.

I hope someone with SEC experience
A strong recruiter that is intimidated by other SEC coaches and is well respected throughout the southeast region
A coach that is excellent at developing players everyday

Tennessee has tried the pro coach route before and it failed. And Conner had college experience.

There's no tougher college sport to coach (recruit, manage scholarships & development) than college baseball.

Hiring a guy that has not previously dealt with all three aspects is a recipe for disaster.

Any new news on the Baseball coaching search? Is Auburn's season over, just curious due to the Bohannon interest.

I'm not saying they're not in but they're not a shoe in. They weren't before Hoover and didn't do much this week to bump them up. Sweeping us has no effect on their resume. No one on the committee looks down and says "oh, they swept UT, mark that down in the pro column".

Iowa took a bid, Illinois State took a bid, Okie St on verge of taking a bid, Rice could take a bid. Games still ongoing could greatly affect things.

My point isn't whether they should be in or not. It's more a I won't be shocked if they don't hear their name called.

Lol. Like knowing the game and being able to talk it on a broadcast means one can coach. Wonder why Vince Scully never managed the Dodgers. Or perhaps we should call Bob Costas and sign him up.

I understand what you're saying, but the guys at D1 haven't said anything about them being a risk to Miss the field. It's Ole Miss and USC that are going to be really sweating it.

They are both out Easily. Old dominion and Maryland lost spots today as well IMO.

Kendall Rogers can't predict upsets. Okie State takes another spot.

You can make predictions in a vacuum all day but thats not how it works; Rogers and Fitt know that.
