Tennessee has yet to win anything realistically

yes, the season isn't over. but it's nice to stop and smell the flowers on the way.

I'm thinking the OP must be referring to "it's" NCAA College Football 14 record. TRUE spurrier take here, another losing loser lost because we're loss-less!

It’s important that fans stay focused because if fans overlook an opponent fans may trip up and lose a game. Stay focused, fans, and get in the film room.

I disagree. We haven’t won the East, or the SEC, or the National Championship but those are hardly everything worth winning this season. We have won several hard games against solid opposition, won the respect and acknowledgment of our rising status as a program by the larger college football world, and done so in exciting fashion.

I fully expect the impact on recruiting from our performance this year to pay big dividends much quicker than I would’ve guessed when Heupel was first hired. We could drop Georgia, Kentucky, and even something like South Carolina and it would definitely be a disappointment but the season would not have been a total failure or anything close or it (it depends somewhat on how those games look of course.)

I do agree with the one game at a time approach, but it’s also important to recognize the positives as they come. You can do that and still understand that we while we have achieved a lot, we still aren’t where we want to be long term and approach the games appropriately.
The future of this team is in their own hands. Only Tennessee and Georgia in the SECE can make that statement. I like being in that position, a position in which we have not been at the part of the season for a long long time.

One game at a time please. IF you lose focus or have an off day, you could easily be upset by any team on any given day. Remember when Memphis State upset Tennessee when Manning was QB? Back then instant replay would have called that play back but the point is.......The game should have never been that close on that day. GBO

Beating Bama is the number 1 job for ANY Volunteer football team, the SECCG and Natty's are second and third to that. Anyone who thinks otherwise, I question their VFL status.

It’s nice to finally beat Bama but we take our focus off the wheel we will be in the ditch. One game at a time as we are winless the way I see it . True…

As long as the team maintains its focus, what difference does it make what the fans think and talk about?

It's pretty clear that we have a coach and staff that have the team laser focused on only one thing - that day's work and preparation for the next game.

But from a fan's perspective, I hardly see the victories over UF and Bama as having "no wins".

Nitpicking you maybe. But do you really think it matters if you and I personally take our "focus off the wheel"? Or were you referring to the team... which has shown no indications of focusing on anything except being better than they were the day/week/month before and the next opponent?
I guess I’ve just seen too much Vol football and know well girls instance I thought we’d win back to back championships in the late nineties but somewhere somehow with those great teams we managed to lose focus. I just think we have a team as good as them and I remember all the breaks we had that season to overcome and we did but it wasn’t easy. I give them credit for what they have done I just want the focus to remain is all that’s pretty much it. But I’m a big boy I can take jabs that’s okay.

This is what a Bama fan told me, He could not believe we were tearing down goal posts and storming the field. He said if we don't beat Georgia we go no where. The teams don't live in the future and neither should the fans. I live in Alabama and I am enjoying the moment.

I get it, but you can say those things without claiming we “haven’t won anything yet.” If you can’t acknowledge the positive milestones in the journey as wins and only winning championships count then you are going to be spending most of every season being miserable for no good reason.
