Beat Bama, Georgia and Florida is great year.
Beat 2 out of 3 is a good year.

This is a good working on great year.

This is already a GREAT year and will be even if we lose to UGA. However it will turn to only good year if we slip up against Kentucy or SCjr and could even turn into disappointing if we somehow lose to both which seems extremely unlikely right now - probably more likely is where we beat the dawgs as opposed to lose both of those.

We could lose every game from here on out and I would still consider it a successful season because we beat Florida and Alabama in the same year.
I really just enjoy watching Vols be competitive every week. Record is less important. Especially this year.

It’s nice to finally beat Bama but we take our focus off the wheel we will be in the ditch. One game at a time as we are winless the way I see it . True…

Why can’t “fans” take their focus off the wheel?………I mean seriously we don’t even have the wheel. We’re in the back seat watching.

Also if Tennessee is winless……..what does the next game matter? Or the next? Or the next? By your logic only a bowl, or SEC championship or playoff counts…….so the Georgia game won’t even count.

Peyton Manning… our greatest QB before Hooker. One of the 2-3 GOATs in the NFL and a first ballot HOFer.

During his TN career, Is he remembered more among general CFB fans for winning the SEC or for losing to Florida every year?

I’ll hang up and listen…
I agree with Bleacher Report on this one. Manning has the stats to match the hype. If Hooker wins the Heisman and wins the National Championship, he would still need to match or pass most of Peyton's accomplishments.

tell us something that no one knows and you’ve made a good post. Yout post is true for the Vols and every other team every year and fans , players and coaches have been aware of it for decades.

Wouldn’t that surpass all of Peyton’s collegiate accomplishments?

Statistically:
Peytons best year 36 TD’s, 11 int’s, 60.2%, 147.7 rating, 8 yards per attempt, yards per completion 13.3

Hookers first and only full year at Tennessee 31 TD’s, 3 int’s, 68%, yards per attempt 9.7, yards per completion 14.3

Right now Hooker is on pace for (without an championship game or playoff) 32 TD, 2 int’s, 3937 yards passing, 70%, 10.7 yards per attempt, 15.3 yards per completion, 188 rating, with 622 yards rushing & 6 TD’s

Love Peyton he’s definitely a legend however he played at Tennessee for 4 years. I don’t know what “will” happen; however if what you said does happen…….in NO will Peyton remain “above” Hooker.

I’m not saying he isn’t the Goat. I’m saying that what is he most remembered for by general college football fans is the 3 losses vs Florida as opposed to winning the SEC his senior year due to the fact that we still lost to Spurrier that year.

Hooker isn’t going to match Mannings career numbers because Manning was a 4 year starter. This kid leads us to a championship this year then he’ll have put up insane numbers in just 2 years. Hell… Hooker has thrown 4 Ints in his career in Knoxville. In 19 games? That’s insane. Manning threw that many in 1 half against Florida.
