Milton has all the talent in the world but doesn’t seem to read the defense well. The final throw last night on 4th down I told my wife it’s going to skip to him and sure enough it did. Then the stat about never throwing a td on the move is crazy. We need a qb that is a true dual threat to work in this offense.

I would be thrilled with 9-3 and pretty happy with 8-4.

Agree but I would play Nico the rest of the year. Give him the entire year to learn then we have (hopefully) a great QB for the next three years. Milton has lost the QB job at Michigan and UT for a reason.
We are not going to win many SEC games with Joe at QB. JH needs to make the change now!

I don't remember the last time we had a good secondary. Why did we constantly go to zone coverage. Banks should have realized that it was not working after Florida's first drive. Hadden doesn't need to play another snap and why was Milton celebrating a TD when we were still down 13. Get to the sideline and focus and quit making it about you. Rant over

He threw four straight bad passes and people on here still argue he’s not the problem.

It always seems like we’re out coached against lesser teams. Defensively we missed tackles. Line getting pushed around. Guys out of position and undoubtedly missing assignments. Offensively the line sucked. Then there’s Milton and you’re just going to get what you get with him.

It would have been better if Heupel had come out for his press conference angry. His sad short answers showed that he might not have long term fortitude to coach at TN. Come out and apologize to Volnation for that unprepared football team that got their rear ends handed to them. Publicly challenge your team and coaches to be better. Act like you want to be there instead of looking like a whipped dog who got scolded for pissing on the carpet.

Yes, we lost and it was not pretty, but the amount of vitriol on this board towards our coach is way over the top. It’s just a game folks and we lost. The sun will still rise tomorrow.
