Tennessee is back.

The great Fulmer teams did beat AL and GA's ass nearly every year.

LOL not a Nick Saban led Alabama team or Kirby Smart led Georgia team. Alabama was pretty mediocre during the second half of Fulmer era and Georgia was meh until they got Mark Richt. Even the Mark Richt teams are not as good as some of the Georgia teams recently.

One good season doesn't mean anyone is back. Stop sounding like Texas fans.

Edit: UT is certainly back, but let's let them actually string together some quality years.

Don’t expect us to beat bama but went out tonight and bought a cigar. First time I had done that in about 15 years. Wanted to have one just in case. Know that in 16 we started 5-0 and probably have had much more talented tennessee teams but this is the first time since the mid 2000s that I have felt that Tennessee is a top tier program

Nope having a great season though. The team and the fans are finally starting to feel confident again. Riding lots of momentum at the moment. Finish Top 10 next 3-4 years and UT will be “back”.

Man....I'm still jaded by 2016. We beat Florida and Georgia and had a great start, and fell apart.

This does not feel like that. But I'm still hesitant to say that just yet.

This is nothing like 2016. Even after the great start Jones just never felt like the guy who was going to turn the corner here. Heupel feels like that guy, and if we haven't turned the corner yet we are getting pretty damn close.

Saban is the only current coach out there that has ever faced a real Tennessee team. He might be facing one again this week.

Tennessee steamrolled a good LSU team in Tiger Stadium.

A good LSU team which is entirely different than the great LSU team when not average Joe Burrow was the QB which had the Tigers defeating a great Crimson Tide team, and they won the National Championship.
I need to see Tennessee defeat a undefeated Alabama team for me to say Tennessee is back.

I think you can say Tennessee is back if they go 10-2.
