If Jackson assimilates quickly, that might be low.
The only question mark is getting a backup post. Not sold on Striplin there. She's better suited at PF.
Everyone else is rebuilding or decimated by transfers/coaching changes.Wow. I see only two SEC teams--SC at #1 and LVs at #8--on the Way To Early Top 25 list for the upcoming season. I agree LVs ranked too low. We'll get it next season. GBO.
I spoke on this earlier people clearly dnt watch the game im actaully the opposite on her im looking forward to her you can tell she actually got in the gym worked on her game im looking for to see her growth shes very skilled.....her n wynn i want to see the growthYou don’t have to be sold on Striplin. Her last freshman game in the Sweet 16, had 7pts / 5 rebs in a quarter as the backup post. This the kind of stuff people say when they just want to have something to criticize.
Yep! Big offseason for those two. Kellie said they were hard workers! Can’t wait to see them next November!I spoke on this earlier people clearly dnt watch the game im actaully the opposite on her im looking forward to her you can tell she actually got in the gym worked on her game im looking for to see her growth shes very skilled.....her n wynn i want to see the growth
I mean i been praying on AYOKA LEE lolIf were thinking clearly for next season someone needs to make a basketball player out of Wynn. She is as athletic as anyone, but her basketball skills are lacking. We also shouldn't be through in the portal anyone that see this team without orange colored glasses knows we need another post player elite that can make a difference from game one next season.
Karoline is going to be just fine. She seems to need some time to absorb lessons, and then she shows out. She'll come along nicely. You don’t have to be sold on Striplin. Amen. Why everytime someone disagrees with the perspective of constant complaining about the team needing player X, Y, or Z folks try to make the assumption of being bias?
Maybe it’s your viewpoint that is wrong. Most of these players people on here literally spend everyday talking about Tennessee needs only have stats on really bad teams.
Nearly half aren’t completely going to be a major jump in terms of talent above the young players on this roster.
So common sense is using the best possible option available and that’s developing young talent as the coaching staff has done in terms of Miles, Darby, Puckett, Wynn, and Striplin. They still have room for growth and a coaching staff heading into just its 2nd year together is on the right rack.
Lastly, in recruiting the staff has aggressively fill holes/needs with 2 signings w/ the possibility of a 3rd accomplished/experienced player out of the portal.
Stop acting like this coaching staff hasn’t put together a really good and complete roster just to bicker daily like you could do so much better.

I really hope Kellie realizes that next year is her greatest chance at giving TN #9 when she has to make difficult choices when constructing this roster
There are some really good guards in the portal and naturally I think she’d be hesitant in reaching out when our backcourt is filled lol maybe I’m just a bit greedy but then I look at SC and UConns rosterWhat difficult choices do you see her needing to make or possible ones? It is going to be exciting yet crazy i'm sure and some things we probably won't see coming.
Actually almost no one on board disagrees about Wynn. Stay athletic, learn offense. IMO she made progress this year. You are spot on about Wynn but most on the board disagree. Also spot on about a post player but i have a feeling KJH will go with the current roster just my opinion. Striplin will backup at the 5 i don`t like but it is what it is.
She's really walking a fine line. Her big win on reclaiming the culture has been based on building chemistry. Now they have to avoid blowing up the lab. They know this, thus that great tweet fm Coach Sam the other day about the right fit. Happily, we are now in a position to be picky.I really hope Kellie realizes that next year is her greatest chance at giving TN #9 when she has to make difficult choices when constructing this roster
See above re: Striplin. Those difficult choices. Already, without bringing in anyone else, 2 or 3 who played reg mins this season will not be getting them next year. We know in early season KJH likes to experiment and sub liberally so everyone will play. But when January rolls around there will be an 8 or 9 at most rotation. Every team settles into that. Do the math, count heads. Horston, Jackson, Powell, Walker, Key, Puckett, Miles, Wynn, Striplin, Marta, Darby, Justine. 12 competing for 9. Three of those listed will not play much and that doesn't count the courtesy players, Jessie and the younger Darby. What difficult choices do you see her needing to make or possible ones? It is going to be exciting yet crazy i'm sure and some things we probably won't see coming.
I hope they don't approach next year as now or never. Of course it will be a decent chance, better than we've had in a long time. But Rome wasn't built in a day and even though the talent level appears to be there, there's alot of other stuff that has to go on. Blending all the ingredients to make a feast is a big challenge for KJH, the challenge of her coaching career. She's never done it before, and now she's getting a million bucks to make it happen. Teams have to learn to win at an elite level, and so far none of these players have done that either. So I say just keep making the progress, get to at least elite 8 and maybe more importantly become truly competitive in games with other elite teams, which we currently are not.I really hope Kellie realizes that next year is her greatest chance at giving TN #9
