Tennessee Lady Vol News

Yeah I always have a live TV service which gives me all the ESPN ap content. If I didn't I'd def pay the 10.99 mo for ESPN+ to get that content.

Yeah I pay the 10.99 for the SECN+ part so that way I’m kinda never missing a game and then also for the other conferences and teams that I just wanna keep up on or just any interesting matchups … super excited to see them play!

Also(and this isn’t to you but to previous convo’s I’ve seen recently) … yall the girls literally play on Wednesday. It’s cute to know “tea” but what’s gonna happen if we found out how the scrimmage went? Like was it so terrible you don’t want us to know in case we freak out or you just wanna keep it to yourselves? Either way it seems a bit childish to mention it and then turn around and “na na na boo boo” people because you know something others don’t. May not have been the intent but if it’s so deep to where you won’t share it, why share anything about it?

I use YouTube TV as my main service, which as many have said comes with the surplus of typically needed ESPN, SEC Network as well.

However I also pay for ESPN+, to fill in the gaps because the LV basketball / Softball games aren’t always on main channels. Therefore ESPN+ usually has the games. Same for the baseball team as well.

That sucks! I hate it when athletes get injured and can’t participate. So much work toward a goal and then having to persevere through an injury. I lost a year to a broken arm, but that was JrHS. Must really suck for a college athlete.
For dear little Darby, I thought this season seemed like an especially good opportunity for her skillset to make the most contributions to a fulfilling season. 😔 Just sad... sad for her, for her teammates, and for the coaches.

"Character building" is the 17s drill and defensive slides of life. Nobody likes 'em. And the older I get, the worse I feel for the student. You'd think it'd be different, since we know from experience how much more important character is to a happy and successful life. But I also think the older we get, the more we treasure our memories of physical play, team sports, and just the physical sovereignty of youth, if we were so blessed.

I once had a basketball and lacrosse player, great kid, who broke his clavicle 3 times during his first two years of HS. Just crazy "bad luck" each time! He was unable to earn an athletic scholarship to college because of it. But he did earn an academic scholarship, so for sure he responded well to his adversity.

But I want to see Darby get her shot to shine in this system.

Is she out all season?

Is she out all season?
"...extended time..."
+ foot injury
+ basketball
+ in a system that requires lots of running and rapid changing of directions

= ???
Foot injuries are not noted for rapid healing, no matter how diligent the patient is, mostly because blood circulation in our feet is not nearly as efficient as elsewhere in the body.

I'd say for us fans, pessimistic expectations are more likely to be rewarded. She's a Junior, so there should be no incentive to risk re-injury (and obviously, I'm saying that not knowing the nature of the injury, just the reported location).
