@Freak mentioned one of the mods accidentally deleting a a bunch of threads. He was trying to get it cleaned up.Is it just me, but I can no longer find the 2025 recruiting message link on this site. I was particularly interested today in that either Prawl or Civil was going to make an announcement today (you remember the 1111 speculation). I think it was Prawl. Any news? Also, where oh where is the link to the 2025 thread?

Good info on seating details. From my experience attending games at TBA for yrs:
19,000 is def season tickets or total tickets sold. I'd put butts in seats attendance for each of those games at 5-6K. Even fm tv you can see lots of empty seats in the sections behind both benches. With a 9 or 10K crowd, that part is full.
Weekday games might arguably be better for students, though having class the next day and homework might be a drag. But weekday games have always drawn significantly less than the Sunday afternoon games. Esp when they start at 6:30 which makes it really hard for working families.
Any student attendance would be a plus bc it's been awful to nonexistent for yrs. A couple of big games last yr they pleaded and bribed and had a fairly decent student turnout. Ordinarily the "student section" is the pep band, a few of the men's bball players looking at their phones, and a scattering of general admission ticket holders.
In general, early season attendance at SEC games remains embarrassing. Def haven't caught the WBB fever except at SC and LSU. KY, Aub, Miss St, and Vandy all played to near empty gyms last week.
Not a swipe at all. There were 3 or 4 who came to games occassionally and spent most of the game posing for pictures w fans. Like everyone their age (heck, almost everyone period) most of their attention was on their phones. Just how it is today.Good info on seating details.
I like that the mens basketball players go to LV games. I wouldn't include a subtle swipe at them. We had LV recruits at the football game, too. And we invented WBB fever. It's coming back.
All of our coaches and players support one another now. #Everything is for real.
Thoughts on this:
One thing for certain is that Coach Caldwell says we are far from what she is expecting come the end of the regular season. Not much praise for total team play just some praise for a few for their individual play. Hate to say we need better offense when were scoring 95 a game, but the truth is were 43 percent as a team overall and 26 percent from the three. Think she would like to see something up there to at least 47 percent overall and definitely 33 percent at least from the three. If we had those numbers we'd be averaging over 100 per game.
On defense letting opponents make a good pass out of our traps seems to be something she wants to see improvement on. Also to much fouling defend without fouling has to get a lot better. Good things that have happened. When have we ever had 45 steals in two games? We had 159 all last season in 33 games. 35 turnovers while forcing 68. I know the competition has been minimal thus far, but we played some of these type teams last year and never came close to this type of steals and turnover production. Usually we had more turnovers than those teams did and won by 20 by shooting better.
I co-sign right here. Iโm sure former Lady Vols are keeping an eye on this particular season. Iโm also certain they are on board and rooting for CKC and her coaching staff and importantly the current Lady Vols. What it tells me is the former players are reinvigorated by what they see. Whether we need her or not idk. Always liked Bash.
This to me is a good sign though. So many were worried about hiring โoutside the family.โ
When you hire the right person, everyone falls in line, past and present. People see there is going to be success and they want to be part of that. Exciting times.
I've forgotten... wasn't Uncle Duke modeled after some Nixon associate with an "import/export" career and suspected CIA ties?Thereโs Uncle Duke in the orange suit!
โฆa fairly dangerous man.I've forgotten... wasn't Uncle Duke modeled after some Nixon associate with an "import/export" career and suspected CIA ties?
In fact, isn't that a CIA tie he's wearing on the cover?
Just curious.
(Totally not probing to seed rumors of psychologically self-revealing reasons you chose that character for your avatar.)
โฆa fairly dangerous man.
I have always believed his character was based on Hunter Thompson. Pretty sure.
Lots of those scenes had him tripping or under the influence of alcohol or other recreational chemicals.
โฆresemble? Possiblyโฆ
Oh yeah--that's right! SMH!I was about to sayโฆHunter Thompson.
