From CKC's comments, my guess is this is why she mostly expresses concern about our 3-point shot defense. As long as they're getting the occasional layup, while we're limiting their total attempts and grabbing lots of offensive rebounds for second-chance points... we're cruisin'.Here are some of the other relevant rankings in the national stats.
Steals #1
Turnover margin #2
Offensive Rebounds #1
Scoring Margin #9
With the addition of the #1 in scoring, that is an amazing tribute to CKC's system, at least so far. The defensive field goal percent is problematic, but the defense as a whole looked much better last game despite the scoring percentage. I imagine some of our stats will go down with the fierce competition that is upcoming, but that may be somewhat counterbalanced by our team getting more in synch with the system and with each other.

Not to worry, Jersey. Their percentage is not a factor when viewed in context with the shots attempted differential between us and and opponents. Opponents would have to shoot nearly 100% to make up the difference. That's why CKC has repeatedly said she doesn't worry about the random breakdown at the back end of their press. "That's gonna happen."
True Shooting Attempts (TSA) is usually derived from the formula: FGA + (FTA x 0.44) = TSA
Does anyone know of a stat service which tracks TSA differentials, either per game or totals season-to-date? I was looking for one before the season started, and didn't find one.
