Tennessee Lady Vol News

This is exactly correct! My sentiments exactly especially with Rae being pegged as a possible lottery pick. She may not want to hurt her chances or have any scouts be skeptical on her ability and pass her up. Stanford is the model for this with Haley Jones her freshmen year she tore her ACL and they never reported it til she recovered and came back better the following season. Sad fact is a lot of players dont comeback the same from an ACL so it def hurts their future if the rehab is not motivated.
While the general public (us) are not privy to Burrell's physical condition, there's no way a WNBA team will draft her without a physical. So it really doesn't matter if she discloses her situation or not. At least as far as the WNBA goes.

True but seems no way she wouldn't comeback for a fifth year if it is an ACL not only would they have to know about it they would have to see some results of recovery on the court. If it is an ACL she is almost certainly a return player JMO next season.

Right. I said it earlier. Anyone thinking seriously of drafting Rae will know every freckle. Public disclosure of injury info is a nonfactor in WNBA future. They'll know.

Quite often a player and/or their family will want a second opinion on a diagnosis and/or projected treatment plan for an injury. Sometimes there are choices that have to be made regarding types of surgery, non-surgical alternatives, and courses of rehab. Risks must be assessed, and alternatives considered by the player. Sometimes the choice of a simpler procedure that would possibly allow the player to return before the end of the season must be weighed against a more complicated procedure and longer rehab period that might be better for the player's long term career. Understandably, the Athletic Department needs to have a clear understanding of the player's plans before making public comments. It is clear that Rae's injury may be a serious one. She deserves the chance to get all the relevant information she needs plus have some time to make the necessary decisions before she has to face the media.

2021-22 Women's Basketball Cumulative Statistics - University of Tennessee Athletics

Two game stats for the Lady Vols the offense can improve a lot. Puckett has hit 4 of 7 shot attempts and 2 of 5 three attempts. She needs to shoot more.

Yep, she should have at least 10 shot attempts. Would love to see us work her at the high post. Feel like she’s probably got a money mid range shot but we haven’t seen it. She should attempt at least 3-4 from deep a game. She has a really nice stroke from the perimeter and she confident shooting it. You can tell she expects it to go in.

Although Sara has the size to be able to play several positions, seems to me Sara prefers to shoot when she’s open, that happens more for 3 pointers, and that’s the shot where she excels. Jon told her to look at the goal every time she got the ball, and I think she’s working on this, where she had been looking to pass first. I’d like to see her be able to shoot the 3 more quickly sometimes. Also, I see her trying to get someone to pass her the ball when she’s open, but they either don’t, or they hesitate and pass it to her too late, and then she’s no longer open.

Unfortunately, since we had games scheduled Wednesday, Friday, and Monday, the Coaches and team have not had a chance to rework the Offense since Rae was injured. After the USF game, we’ll have a few days before the Texas game, which should help our Offense.

Again, we can appreciate that Kellie gets everyone ready to play, and they can step up if needed.

GO LADY VOLS!!!

I think this class of freshmen are going to live up to their ranking as an overall top ten class. Puckett is playing about as well as any of the other players in the class this season. Miles has established a role. Wynn is Burrell as a freshman right now really talented, but trying to do to much on her own when she enters a game. Got pulled for two quick turnovers yesterday. Striplin is a very good post player and mid-range shooter. Playing behind Key, Green, Puckett hopefully we'll see more of her soon.

Absolutely, I’m sure Kellie expected to be able to get them accustomed to college ball more slowly, without so much pressure, but circumstances have caused them to be needed now, from the very first game, and they are handling it, and embracing the challenge of being needed to actually win the game.

Couldn’t be more proud and excited for our “Freshmen.”

GO FRESHMEN AND GO LADY VOLS!!!

Right now what I am getting just my interpretation is that this injury is either a bad hyperextension or knee sprain with no ligament problems. This type of injury can take 2 to 6 weeks to heal. Someone said they were saying two to three weeks which would be the absolute best you could expect.

This!!!!!!!

Tennessee has USF on Monday, and Texas (who just beat Stanford) next Sunday. I hope we don’t look ahead to Texas and USF becomes the dreaded trap game.

Our team has a lot of fight in them, and that can win a lot of games.

GO LADY VOLS!!!
Yes, and we have Brooklynn Miles and they don't. As always go lady Vol's.

USF has one of the better point guard three point shooters in the country this season. Our offense always is a cause for concern right now going into these type games. I always feel we can hold the opponent under 60, but worry if we can score 60 ourselves. Not much improvement in our three point game this season going to hurt us in a lot of games I fear.

Uh, I have a PhD in philosophy. Kellie is on track with recruits. End of conversation.

LOL!

Does that ever actually work to buffalo anyone? You need to get your money back for that degree if you don't know that an appeal to authority is a logical fallacy.

You lost and embarrassed yourself in the process. Be graceful about it.
