Tennessee Lady Vol News

It has no match tbh as far as campus regalia or whatever you would call impressive grounds. Stunning, and steeped in history, but the beauty of that place is unmatched.

I will have to say that the beauty is better appreciated both the day before one reports and in the years after on return visits!

I might not have worded that clearly. "UCLA is depleted as well. Just not as much talent missing or on the court as UConn."

I meant that as UCLA doesn't have as much talent missing or on the court.

And I just meant that UCLA didn't have as much talent on the court either before UCONN's injuries or after UCONN's injuries.

I think comments Geno made about Es injury not being correctly handled at UT add to the enthusiastic comments regarding PBs uncalled for end of game injury. Karma, as they say, is a b****.
Know that Westbrook tore her ACL at Connecticut. Don't remember a Westbrook injury at UT. Know that Auriemma gave Coach Fulmer a hard time over not releasing Westbrook.

I believe it wasn't about releasing her but because Fulmer & UT wouldn't actively help support UCONN's case. UT neither opposed her release nor supported the petition to play immediately at CONN, just stayed neutral. If my recollection is faulty, someone pitch in with correction.

You are correct.

I don’t recall Westbrook tearing an ACL at UConn. Someone feel free to correct me but I believe Westbrook was hurt/injured sometime her last year at UT. When she transferred to UConn Geno infered that Holly had made Westbrook play while injured. You are correct he also pitched a fit when Fulmer would not do a release to NCAA so she could play immediately.

UConn had better toughen up mentally if they expect to stay in the top 20. They can't handle pressure very well right now and with their go to players shooting so poorly, they are in a tough spot. I'm sure the team is excited about the possibility of an injured player coming back to rescue them.

Ironically, it may be their schedule that saves them.

Don't see them beating Louisville, so I predict that they'll be out of the top 10 in the next poll. But even if Paige doesn't come back this season, they will still be dangerous if the other injured players return healthy by early conference play.

You think? Louisville didn't look all that impressive to me beating Kentucky IMO. UConn had good balance against UCLA as "the other guys" seem to be figuring out roles without Paige, and it will be a home crowd for the Huskies...

UConn is struggling to score, and Louisville is an excellent defensive team. They'll give UConn the same kind of headaches that GT caused for them, and have enough individual contributors to put points on the board. I'm expecting a double-digit win for Louisville.
