Tennessee Lady Vol News

Pat never depended on top recruits to win championships. At one point, she had 10 losses still won a championship. That's shows a tough coach who fought had & work with whatever she had and not cry about it. Just like Kellie fighting with wat she got now.
Did you actually watch Tennessee play when Pat was coach? Because if you did, you wouldn't be making ridiculously incorrect statements like this. 3 titles with Holdsclaw, 2 with Parker. Their main supporting casts were all elite players as well for the most part

Pat and Geno basically competed yearly for hauling in superstars and superstar classes.

This team can go as far as Key can take them. I think she is the best defensive post player in the country. JMO she is the main reason we are 9-0 she has clogged the lane and disrupted all 9 teams offenses. A few cupcakes has helped also.
I said the same thing before the season...that Key isn't the best player on the team (that would be Rae), but she's the most important. If she had gotten injured instead of Rae, they wouldn't be 9-0 right now. Her defensive presence will keep Tennessee alive in games where they would otherwise be dead in the water.

This is a fact.

At this point in time, it is entirely realistic to think Uconn has another 3 losses on their schedule and tbh, if that occurs, what will be Uconn’s wins vs quality teams from here on out? A three seed is in the realm of possibility esp if PB is not back.

Yeah, the bigeasy conf will work against them, esp if they drop a conf game god forbid. Imagine Uconn in the PAC, B1G, B12, SEC or ACC this year, that would spell more than 3-4 losses from here easily. I don’t see Uconn beating Louiville or SC, 2 of the remaining 3 games vs a ranked opponent, and if TN beats them, there are no other ranked teams on their schedule. One or more of the bigeasy teams might show up in a game also.
And so what? I really don't care how many wins and losses pile up between now and the end of February. @Rooster1 you seem to spend more time thinking about UConn that SCAR. You're enraptured over the UConn schadenfreude I will say it loud and clear; you and your program have not yet attained to the heights that you try to pontificate from. Currently in the Pantheon of Women's basketball SCAR is but a blip in history. If you do happen to win the national championship this year good for you. I'm sure you will have earned it and will have confirmed your place among the other 2 time champions. So in the mean time go and polish your statue and dust off your banner and oh year, make sure you only play with a wilson ball.

It is one game. That is why I will stay on the fence. If they beat Stanford or even come close without Burrell, I think they would have done enough in nonconference play for me personally to lose my skepticism.
So. You have recovered from BVS? Please, tell me moar…

The defense is fine. The rebounding is fine. Kellie's offense is a train-wreck, maybe the worst this program has ever seen, and the numbers reflect that. They couldn't even break 40% shooting or keep turnovers down against Georgia State.

They will win some games and and might beat a few good teams, but their offense is why they aren't a contender. Pretty soon they will get exposed, and it could very well be this weekend...

One of the most influential voices in WCBB disagrees with yet another of your hawt takes. Suck it, Vader.

All they did was state an opinion. Everything ok at home? 😂

Thanks for weighing in, Coach Walz.

I agree but to supplement the offense, Kellie depends on the culture of “no quit” which is why this team can play above its perceived talent level on paper. Darby isn’t the most athletic but she damn sure doesn’t want to lose and has the green light to keep shooting. Same for literally all of the players 1-9(10 if we had Rae right now)

I’m curious to know where you think we’d end up in the tourney with our offense and defense the way it is currently and every other team playing at their current levels? Because I think elite 8 is possible and at that point it’s literally a dogfight and with this team’s seeming unwillingness to lose… we are indeed contenders

If we beat Stanford, does that change you opinion? Sometimes there are teams that make it far on defense Ala Rutgers/LSU in the early 2000s.. just that grind it out game that most opponents that love and thrive on offense hate.

He'd still say we would miss the tournament with our offense and defense being stellar. Stick around! He claims to want us to do well but deep down inside bask in us playing poorly. He definitely isn't a lady vol fan but rather pretends to be one for whatever reason!

Great, another chicken vs dog fight.
