It's our own recent history at fault that we're not. Too many years of starting out fairly highly ranked, only to steadily drop and drop and drop until we fell completely out. I'm guessing voters got tired of getting burned so are going to hold Tennessee to a higher standard to make them more than prove they're worthy.

And yes, I do believe Tennessee is being held to a higher standard than quite a few currently ranked teams are ever held to. But that's okay. We'll get there.

We’ll work on that, too! Actually their NET of 38 justifies that seed.

They will be a much higher seed than 10th come March. The schedule sets up for something like 5-6 losses at most tbh, maybe less if the LV’s really gel in year one. Let’s say that happens, and I believe it will, they will be seeded much higher. UT will be in the mix for top 3-4 teams in the SEC, that isn’t a ten seed, even with the OOC schedule.
