UT has 17 national TV games this season compared to Tiger High 3. The two seasons prior were about the same. Even when your tigers were #1 for most of the season during Cal's time you could not find Tiger High on TV.
Even fewer people nationally care about UT BB. When you say UT, the majority of sports fans and UT fans think in the following order:
1. Football program that used to be great.
2. Women's basketball
3. Men's basketball.
"Tiger High" has been relevant in Men's basketball since the 1970s. In every decade, the Tigers have had at least 2 Sweet Sixteen appearances, and if not for Nick Van Exel, would have a Final Four in every decade since the 70s.
Tiger High has placed a list of players too numerous to list in the NBA in the last 20 years. UT has Dale Ellis, Allan Houston, and CJ Watson.
Any college basketball expert knows and will tell you which school has a more storied tradition. Conference affiliation, city statistics, or player background makes no difference in your argument of basketball program relevance.
What are you talking about? At any given moment, I might be listening to any of hundreds of artists. Might be Tom Waits, might be Donna Summer. Might be NWA, might be Sammy Davis. Might be Michael Buble, might be Waylon Jennings. Might be the Four Tops, might be The Fray. Might be Fall Out Boy, might be The Four Freshmen. Feel better now?Way to put yourself out there. Stick to your dichotomy of sabotaging and championing. It's suits the schizophrenic lilt of your fandom. Can't say I'm not a fan of it. At least you're not boring.

We can debate what is considered "national TV" all day long. Fine, you win, the Vols are on national TV more than the Tigers. First, most of that "national TV" is tied to an SEC TV contract. Second, with all of that "national" exposure, how come "Tiger High" continues to out recruit UT year in and out?
The fact is that the flagship University, with all of its TV contracts, BCS affiliation, and $$ continues to run a distant second in recruiting and NCAA success to, by your own words, a High School. Says alot about your program.

Yes, Josh did recruit a great (Memphis Magic) AAU team in 2010. According to Rivals.com, this was the #2 recruiting class. The Vols were #9, not to shabby. This year Josh is having a tough time landing recruits, only AT. He missed on Madden, Miller, Gardner, and a number of other high profile players. The 2010 class included JJ, Crawford, Black, all Memphis players.

The tigers and Vols 2010 recruiting classes will take the court shortly. It will be interesting to watch these classes. Will both live up to their expectations?
The Memphis guys have to carry the team. The UT guys just have to fit in and play supporting roles. Hard to compaer off what will happen this year. The tigers and Vols 2010 recruiting classes will take the court shortly. It will be interesting to watch these classes. I don't know much about their scholarship situation, but they only have one Senior on their roster. Since they brought in a huge class (numbers wise) last year, I couldn't see them signing more than a couple of guys anyway.
