Hey homes, please tell me more about Crawford?!? I have not heard anything about this at all. I haven't heard of Bruce being accused of any improper benefits aside from a lil cookout. Did Crawford get a ham sammy?

Pearl stepped on a lot of toes in his recruiting of CC here. There was some improper benefits given to him but im not sure of the level of them. The NCAA has contacted him but Im not sure what will come of it. The Crawford situation was a bad deal for UTK here and it didnt sit well with several other potential recruits considering the tactics BP used.

Easterwood et al trying to slander Pearl is freaking hilarious...

If they snitch it will only be to avoid their own NCAA problems.

I have proof of said allegations. Why would we put our freshman guard under the scrutiny of the NCAA when we didnt have to? Do you think we invited the NCAA down because we wanted to have a drink and talk about things? If you think Im so full of **** then send Brucey Bruce a message and ask him.

Two little things...

- Considering UT-Knoxville is the flagship, I'd certainly hope they'd get more money than anybody else.

- Pretty much all of our athletic programs are privately funded. Little, if any, state money is used for the AD at UT.

We have a real life compliance official posting on our message board?

Or we have a guy who heard a story from a "really good source".

you mean the UTAD doesn't use tax dollars to fund athletic programs? :eek:hmy: But homefry said....

thats not what I said. What was mentioned was that our AD budget gets cut because the state wont fund other things on campus like building renovations and salaries for employees like it does at UTK. Not once did I claim that the UTAD got state funding to support it. The only fact that I stated was that UTK gets more state funding for on campus projects because they have their own board of control and dont have to share with everyone else like we do. Reading comprehension is apparently something that UTK should invest more into for its students and fans.

That really good source was as good as you get. Im not going to post the "proof" on the message board. The NCAA is investigating and they dont need my help. There was a reason that Crawford was interested in UT and then came to Memphis for what its worth.

I'm not really sure that Crawford is the level player that would or should involve breaking NCAA rules to recruit.

It wasnt anything major by itself however compiling it with all the other things will show a progression of "illegal" acts. It wasnt a whole lot of stuff but it was strictly prohibited from giving a recruit.

I guess any player is ok as long as they are from Memphis. I know they really would like to have a break-through there.

HOmes,

UT basketball fans didn't realize the tournament actually had more than three games until last year. They still don't believe the Final Four exists for teams whose players have penises.
