So much wrong in this thread... :mf_surrender::banghead2:

First, that was an IGNORANT score prediction. Ignorant. Had to be a terrible troll post. I think it's reasonable all around to expect this to be a very good game. We have 6 built-in wins(non con, @OM and @UK), 2 guaranteed losses(@LSU/@Bama), and 4 toss-up games at home(UT, AU, Ark, A&M). Of those 4, Arky and UT scare me equally(if Knile Davis is fully recovered, I give a slight edge to Arky), and I mean that as a compliment. Autry will win or lose these games for us, depending on if he can get pressure to Bray and Wilson. In '10, McPhee got pressure to Mallet, and that was a game we should've won but lost in OT. In '11, we had NO outside pass rush, and Wilson literally destroyed us. This is the difference between you hanging 40+ on us(we lose) and it being a low-mid 30s game(toss up). Alot of our own fans don't even realize that in the spring, we worked alot in 4-2-5 and 3-3-5 formations specifically for the Vols and Razorbacks... We've got 3 talented SR CB's that we're going to need on the field together to stand a chance against your receivers. Of those, Banks and Slay are lock down guys will be able to play man with "some" success on 2 of your studs. Broomfield is the one that ends up getting picked on IMO...

Second, that pic isn't even our actual expansion, but an early rendering. Here is the actual. It's been rumored that the new video board is larger than the original one, although no proof has yet been given. Either way, it seems excessive and ridiculous for us to run boards this size in stereo, in a stadium no larger than ours. Twice the goofy, atmosphere-killing commercials, I suppose.

Miss. St. has some of the nicest grass you will ever see on a college campus. It looks like a golf course. Other than that, it's very ordinary. Starkville is basically a cow pasture. I went in '07, and have no intentions of going again.

I wonder if that is the grass Billy C is smoking to come up with such a crazy prediction

It's a hybrid, a cross, ah, of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt and predict scores on VN that night on this stuff.

It used to be the 2nd biggest in college football like only 2 years ago. My bad. I was wrong and I admit it. But it really was the 2nd biggest not too long ago.

ETA: Ours looks much better than Arkansas' because ours is more square. Theirs is just real long.

I rather have a long one than a square one.

Tennessee fans just don't seem to realize how good Mississippi State's football program is under Mullen. Y'all will find out in mid-October. After we win it will be a complete sweep in all 3 major sports. I respect y'all but I seriously hope you don't really think y'all can come into our house and beat us. Mullen will be ready for the Vols, you can believe that.

I know we havent had the best past 3 years but Mullen's seasons of 5-7, 9-4, and 7-5 doesnt really scream powerhouse. So I dont think Dooley and crew are really ****ting their pants over 50,000 people with cowbells and a SEC West Cellar dweller.

One thing I noticed looking at your depth chart...

Neither of our teams can afford injuries due to the youth of the depth behind them. 1-2 of the wrong guys going down can literally derail each of our seasons. The difference between our 2010 and 2011 seasons were the 2 OL we had get injured in the Auburn game(which led to Relf cracking ribs and never being the same all season)...

We can afford zero injuries on the OL. Tyler Russell has proven fragile when he played the past 2 years, and he's the only roster qb we've got with a single snap of experience going in. I see this combination as a recipe for disaster, but hope I'm wrong.

Our stadium is small, no doubt...but I can say this with relative certainty, it won't even seem like the same place you visited in 1994, 2002, or 2007...

I actually like the expansion concept. It looks really good. MSU fans just need to hope Mullen doesn't leave for greener pastures any time soon or it'll all be a waste.

FACT

Dooley and Mullen have the same number of wins against SEC west teams not named Ole Miss.
