Best of luck to the kid. Got caught up in coaching and offensive system changes which is unlucky and obviously out of his control. Best of luck to him! It will be interesting to see where he ends up, not a ton of traditional offenses left in college football that he seems to be best suited for but I hope he gets his chance.

This might not be the last transfer. If Hendon decides to stay for next year, I wouldn't be surprised to see Milton leave as well. With the kid we have coming next year and we all know Heupel is going to recruit a QB every cycle.

Milton already had his free pass - he would have to sit out a year wouldnt he ?

I hate it and really wish he could have gotten a chance on the field, but I respect his decision and think that he is doing the right thing for himself.

I hope that he lands somewhere good and excels.

We don’t know that for sure about Hooker. That’s speculation. But what do you think the reason is Bailey couldn’t see the field?

I wish HB the best but Vol fans should feel confident that Heupel will be able to bring in better players than Bailey and develop them. In less than one season JH has turned Hendon Hooker a forgotten transfer into one of the better QBs in the SEC.

Hoping he goes somewhere west so we don’t eventually have to deal with him possibly coming back to bite us. I wish it could have worked for him here and wish him all the best moving forward. Just don’t go to the three teams we dislike the most.

Tennessee quarterback Harrison Bailey announced on Wednesday that he will enter his name into the transfer portal and begin "exploring other opportunities."
Bailey, a former four-star prospect from Georgia, started three games as a freshman in 2020.
But then coach Jeremy Pruitt was fired in January and his replacement, Josh Heupel, welcomed in transfer quarterbacks Joe Milton III from Michigan and Hendon Hooker from Virginia Tech.

Less than a month after the season ended, Pruitt was fired and Josh Heupel was named Tennessee’s head coach.
Heupel opted to bring in Joe Milton III from the transfer portal, and he would eventually be named the starter ahead of the season-opener, before being replaced by Hendon Hooker after injury in Week 2’s contest against Pitt.
Now, Bailey has entered the transfer portal, after only appearing in one game at Tennessee this fall. Bailey will train with QB Country’s David Morris during the break, while taking visits to find his next school, according to a source close to the situation.

I feel that way. The timing sucks though. I mean Milton and Hooker have both been injured this year. What happens if both get dinged up?

Who said anything about him?

Since you brought him up he had 38 TDs, 17 INTs 6,100 yards and 3 years of starting experience I can see why a coach would take him as a backup based on that alone.

HB on the other hand got beat out by JG, Hooker and... Joe Milton.

True. Would prefer if Harrison could just wait it out over the next month for that reason.

Maybe Heup feels confident with Gaston Moore in an emergency situation?

Good luck to him I guess but oh well. We'll find someone else to fill his spot in the off season.
Not sure I get why he'd transfer at this point in the season seems like quitting on your team to me.
