Georgia had three five stars at quarterback, all in the NFL now, and didn't win a single NC.

The Kirb's is all about the D. Which no longer wins championships.

I certainly understand the reasons for transferring, especially his. I don't understand the timing of anyone doing it at this point in the season.

Only thing I can think of is to get out in front of HS commitments. He will do well in pro type system. Just my guess that JH new he needed a mobile guy especially in Y1, and maybe he couldn’t execute the pace. Seems plenty smart and certainly has talent. Good luck to him...

I wish the best for Harrison Bailey. I have always had faith in him, and am still convinced he will do great even given a chance. Hate to admit it, but he was never given a fair chance here.

I believe our coaching staff has done some great things, but on this one area, I have a lot of questions.

How could ANYONE think Joe Milton will ever be a QB. He is as erratic as I have ever seen by anyone in the SEC. His ability to reason and to react reasonably seems to be beyond correcting. And to think he is all we have left if HH goes down, is downright scary. Running out of bounds with no time on the clock instead of throwing the ball up into the end zone was the last straw. Of course, If he had thrown for the end zone, he may have thrown it out of the stadium. He may be able to play another position, but never QB.

I usually do not support guys leaving through the portal, but I hope Harrison Bailey has a fantastic career.

Milton, while having a scholarship pay for his school and housing, isnt a scholarship qb. Just a qb who happens to have a scholarship.

That's a good question, I have no idea. I'm not sure if his transfer to UT was "approved" by the NCAA before that one time free pass rule went into effect. And if it was "approved" before the rule if that would leave him with a free pass option. I dunno.

CJH offense requires a mobile QB Bailey is not Mobile enough for TN offense that is why he is 3rd string. He will have to go Somewhere That doesn't use Mobile QBs much at all. Wish him Well Wherever he goes. People Here at TN crying over him not playing just because he is a 5* Doesn't mean they should just throw him out there because of that reason alone. 5* recruits out of HS doesn't mean they will own up to that in College. If it was a system HB fit it would be a different story. Good luck young Man!

Yes. Milton played this year so if he transfers he will have to sit out.

My guess would be he is returning next year to improve his stock. Two good productive seasons gets him drafted IMO.

I wonder if it’s that he wants to preserve his redshirt. If Hooker gets hurt or when we’re up big against Vandy and Heup wants to put him in and it could burn his shirt, if he refuses to go in, that might turn off potential landing spots. Also, he’s probably getting very few reps in practice that would benefit him in the future.

Why do you think that? They did not recruit him hard out of HS. He hasn't done anything to prove he has better potential than the 4* and 5* Freshmen they already have on the roster... or their current 4* commit.

And for his part, why would he join a QB room that crowded after being beaten out by Hooker and Milton?

That pretty much sums up the GA is going to swoop him up. Hard time believing if he couldn't beat out the QB's here what makes people think he'd be out GA guys and incoming recruits

Doesn’t matter. The language of the rule states that to be immediately eligible there can’t be a prior transfer from a 4 year institution. There’s most likely a waiver that can be applied for depending on timing.
