Tennessee Sells Out Bristol Allotment

I heard today that there are 5500 student tickets given to each University that will be sold as usual no difference than a home game. I also heard that the university was sending out fillers to see if that is going to be needed to be increased. I know that now the allotment has been sold I was told by a good friend that works at the track in the ticket offices that the Universities can ask for more tickets and Tennessee is working on sending in the paperwork for that as we speak. Should be a great time and will set many records. Cannot wait to see a Tennessee home game at my home so to speak. Will be weird not driving a couple hours to get there.

well you can figure a good time to attend a UT football game and make a race at Bristol the same week end,if you like car racing,Bristol is a spectacle you don't want to miss,I use to go to a lot of them,it was pretty awesome,of course thier tickets are sold out way in advance too or use to be any way

You honestly dont think they are on the same weekend, right?

Actually the student tickets will be treated like a home game.

Well that's better for the students. However, they don't use their allotment for home games so I can't imagine there will be huge demand from the students.

Student: I saw somewhere that they had already sold out the student tickets as well, when did they open the student tickets?

I wonder how that worked out. The game isn't until 2016. This year's FR and maybe some slacker Sophs must be representin!

I'd probably call in or look on the website to see if it's been announced. I'm thinking it hasn't been announced yet. Also, maybe not until the game gets closer. Seems UT is asking for more so keep an eye on when they announce another round for reservations. I would be guessing here but I'm going to go with they will do GA tix once they feel they can't get anymore reserved in the current way.

With all that said I'm pretty sure if it had been announce when they would be available in GA form someone on here would have responded to you by now.

Hope that helps man.

Pretty sure they are having them at the same time

Nope. The race is always in town in August and the game being in September not sure that is the case at all and the game is on a saturday the same day as the race. There is no way you could clear the infield to do something like that.

I love Nascar, so I would love to see a race at the same time... Fingers crossed it all works out!

Stephen, for information regarding the game and tickets, you can go here:

Battle At Bristol

The fall Bristol race is usually the weekend prior to our Labor Day holiday weekend and that will be roughly 3 weeks before the game. Depending on how long you can stay in the area, doing both events is possible.

BMS hasn't sold out in the last few years. So tickets shouldn't be hard to get.

what was deposit or price per tik?

I'm a season ticket holder at BMS and we had to pay a $40 deposit per ticket. And we were allowed 3 tickets for each pair of BMS tickets. I get 6 BMS tickets, 3 pair, so I was allowed 9 game tickets.

Gosh darn this younger generation and their posting in alternate colors! Don't they know that this is Volnation? We are supposed to post in black. That's what's wrong with the world today, no respect for tradition!

I've not been considered part of 'this younger generation' in quite a while. I thank you for the compliment!
