Nope. The race is always in town in August and the game being in September not sure that is the case at all and the game is on a saturday the same day as the race. There is no way you could clear the infield to do something like that.

I can't believe you thought what I said was serious. How could anyone think they could have a football game and race at the same time?

When you go to a race the price for parking in not to bad.I parked at a church on the road and they have a suggested donation for parking. The church cooked a lunch and had snacks for the race fans.

the people that live across the track will sell spots at a decent price,we got back to Johnson City one year right after the race ended , within 40 minutes, which was a lot of luck and hitting the traffic right

You honestly dont think they are on the same weekend, right?

j/k

your right i was getting carried away,it will be a week or 2 after the August race

#BattleAtBristol Set For Sept. 10, 2016 - UTSPORTS.COM - University of Tennessee Athletics

Turf and field build will be completed in eight days

Approximately 8,500 tons of rock will be used to build the base of the field

The rock will be brought in by approximately 400 truckloads. The complete haul-in process will take three, 10-12 hour days

"The base rock will be 3'-6" deep in the middle of the infield tapering to 1-1/2' on sidelines to create the proper sloping effect for drainage"

I do know that the people in the infield look small if your up in the nose bleed seats, there isn't many seats that i haven't been in there,of course most of them were on Saturdays and we went down closer to the track, getting in the seats that nobody was in,but that was years ago,I don't know if they will let a person do that or not these days :)
