If they don’t run that same starter back out there tomorrow I would question their coach. Maybe we adjust.

Head scratcher during conference play, you pull Pickens at a 2-0 score and don’t throw Ashley or Payton. But we load bases up in 7th and then Pickens is warming up in the bullpen to go back in. Im I missing something why West hitting 8th and we aren’t trying to bunt more for hits with the girls with speed when the team isn’t hitting

Just not sure the options, West for some reason can’t lock it down, Kirkpatrick has the behind the plate ability but not ready to bat at this level.

Credit to Simpson for not seeing much action and not blowing up. Ok with not throwing Ashley with the long night and quick turnaround today. Gives her a day of rest to win the series tomorrow.

Poor G, first time she's not beat up behind the plate, up up and away over the head, then next pitch is down and dirty. I wonder if it's effecting her hitting.

No way you would have pitched Ashley today like most would’ve not thrown her after the rain delay yesterday. My point was, to pull Pickens that should be the mindset during a conference game who’s relieving her BUT if she needed pulled why are we warming her back up to bring her back in the seventh. I was trying to just give hints but you should be playing to win every conference game and not just the series. Maybe we should be playing more midweek games if that’s the mindset on a 2-0 game and try pinch hitting for some of the girls that aren’t hitting rather that conceding on the mound. That’s why Megan should be calling pitches so Karen is not tied up with every pitch and can manage the whole game.

No issues with warming her up, young…get with Megan to see what’s going on and be ready. Interesting that it was Simpson and not Payton or White.

I’m not overly concerned with pitching probably Payton and Pickens tomorrow. The hitting against junk/sinker pitchers has a lot of room to improve. G it would appear (it would be hard) has trouble handling Pickens stuff. Some were just wild pitche. Win tomorrow and we are good. Hitting must improve. We should score more than we have against their staff.

The sight of KP slinging the old ball way to high brought visions of our lefty from a ways back. Went to Osu and at purdue now i think. Forgot the name with the vision! Oh Gabby Sprang!!!

Agree Kreg. Reason we didn't use Payon today is she will start tomorrow (probably).
We more than likely pulled Pickens because she was having some mechanic issues and after some bullpen work and adjustments would have come back in if we got the lead. We need to win tomorrow.

Our biggest competion for the conference championship looks like Georgia. They are currently 8 and 1. They are one game behind us because of a cancellation. They beat Kentucky today 9-5 ( I think).

Georgia swept Texas A&M at Davis Diamond ( Texas A&M's field). The series was interesting. A& M led the first game by 2 going into the sixth inning and gave up three including a two run home run to lose 6-5.
The second game A&M led 5-4 going into the fifth and gave up single runs in every inning to lose 7-5. The third game was a blow out 8 -0 giving Georgia the sweep.

Our pitching staff is elite. Look at how many runs Georgia gave up in the first two A&M games. A&M 's first three runs in our series are unearned ( I think). Not sure about the third run today.

Not sure why we struggled today but it was disappointing. Very few strikes thrown today by A&M's pitchers and when they were we looked confused. Hopefully Karen can get everyone refocused. To keep pace we need to win tomorrow.

Part of the season where patience is needed so she can grow and work things out. Film is out on her, pitch sequence and what she likes to throw in certain counts. She’ll has to be able to hit spots as batters will be more patient at the plate.
