Tennessee Softball 2023

2025 for both. Linton is 5’6 maybe 5’7, muscular build. She’s a LHP, good velocity, some movement but internet numbers don’t match on field production. She has over the years done a great job of networking and building her brand. On her travel teams she’s the #3 pitcher behind Heavener (LSU) and Parrish (UNC). That team also happens to be one of the best teams in the country in Unity Johnson/Ross. Depending on who you talk to she’s not the best LHP in the area and could be #3 in the area behind Danley (FSU 2023) and Plumlee (2025). Tennessee should have interest in her but I do wonder how it progresses the more they see her. She’s a take but to me she has too many questions that need to be addressed before she hits college.
I just see her on social media. She is obviously a hard worker. They have seen up close and personal a lot. So it will not be from lack of data in evaluations.

We will need one solid to very good pitcher for next year. Probably portal. This year has really highlighted the value of a real staff.
Losing Ashley will elevate Pickens to #1. Gottshall provides depth and potentially can give more next year. Looking ahead, all 3 of the others are under 20 innings so far. Would believe White won’t move on with no Covid year, SR and has already transferred. Simpson would be my guess as it stands going into her junior year to maybe find a spot closer to home to get more time. Charli is a wildcard, I wouldn’t be surprised if she moved in or came back.
