Tennessee Softball 2023

Just put the fool on ignore. They’ve been here two months. Stop making them relevant.

They can and should since they can’t refute with facts.
And I’m not surprised you would support Vol67. Aren’t you the same one that proposed that the Knoxville Regional was put together so that the top 3 hitters were in the same regional? And how exactly, does that help with ratings when the games are on ESPN+, which according to the resident know it all says that keeps UT from thriving? Who is going to pay for and watch ESPN+ for the Knoxville Regional other than the fans of teams in Knoxville?
You two are really something. 😆

It's only the opening game for Tennessee that's going to be an ESPN+ exclusive. The Indiana-Louisville game is ESPN2, TV designations for Saturday and Sunday are set the night before, based on matchups.

The TV aspect of this really isn’t that hard to understand…except for those with acute BVS.

Simple. ESPN puts the teams with the most fans on ESPN+. They gain subscribers. Should change the name to ESPN$.

Well, they are attempting to run a business for profit. And even though they generally do a very poor job of that, there is no crime in doing it.

I know baseball high seed gets to be home full time. Has the women’s side changed or does the 1 seed have to be visitor half the time? Always hated that.
Last season we had to be the road team once in three games. I would look for us to be the home team first game and second game and the visitor in game three. Only thing I really like about the SEC Tourney is that the higher seed is home team every game.

I am hoping (expecting?) that some of the games now listed as espn+ will eventually be moved to national espn outlets. I am going to pay the $10 for a month anyway, though, just to be sure I can see the NoKy game and any others I desire to watch. One thing we need to remember about NCAA softball is that an attendance figure of around 3,000 is considered outstanding. We love the sport, but we are in a distinct minority, and espn knows it.

The UT ticket office told my brother that the Knoxville Regional is a complete sellout for all sessions.

the Oklahoma stadium story -- "The groundbreaking ceremony for what will be named Love’s Field will take place on Sept. 23 [2022]. The new stadium, expected to be ready in time for the 2024 season, will increase seating capacity for softball to 3,000 initially and is being built to accommodate future expansion. Marita Hynes Field, current home of the two-time defending national champions, seats around 1,600."

Check your program guide and you'll see that ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network and ACC Network all have multiple broadcast windows slated for softball starting at Noon and running into the night on Saturday and Sunday. They will announce which games go on which networks for the next day Friday night and Saturday night. Right now, very game is listed as ESPN+ because they will all also be available there. There are going to be a couple of timeslots where they will carry "7 Innings Live," which is where they wil jump around to close games or big moments.

I never said anything about ratings, goofy. Also bold of you to refer to anyone other than yourself as a know it all. You joined in March and have been bossing people around and giving as many lectures from your high horse ever since.
