Late to the party this morning.

@GhostVol asked if there is any other college program that dominates the "diamond" like the University of Tennessee?
SOMEONE POSTED STANFORD.

To the OP, I always watch Larry David's HBO's "Curb your Enthusiasm" before Tennessee takes the field to keep from making statements in the excitement of the moment.

The obvious answer is Oklahoma!

Their men have won two national Championships in baseball. This is the give away. They beat Tennessee in 1951 to win. And they were the National Championship runner-up last year to Ole Miss. How soon we forget!

Their women have won six National Championships including 2013. The give away is that Tennessee was the National
Campionship runner-up in 2013. I still have nightmares of questionable calls at third and am so thankful for two review challenges in each game.

So to answer your question. Their are several teams that have had more success!

As I noted when we played them someone/s on that staff can really identify offensive talent. The problem is for someone like Indiana can they keep them. I also thought wow it would be nice to have their ss and 2b but then thought OU will probably get them. UCLA really needs some offensive help but do they have the money?

Great start for Stanford, but a LONG way to go. I don’t see 2 runs holding up even with their great pitching. They need more

I think they meant currently. Oklahoma baseball had a horrible showing in the NCAAT. If we're going by past we could easily say Florida given they won back to back softball championships in 2014 and 2015 and then played Oklahoma for one a few years later, and the baseball team won in 2017 and are the #2 seed this year. But alas, Florida sucked in softball this year.

I thought about that too but to be fair, it's elimination so of course you give it all you have. Given the winners bracket status KW had against OU there are probably other coaches who would do the same thing she did. Hopefully they'd throw in the towel a little more deftly and less blatantly. Haven't seen any numbers of the ABC broadcast, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't one of the biggest viewing audiences ever for the softball LVs. And look what they got, or didn't get. Strategy or not, a very bad look.

Really good game so far, here comes Stanford's flamethrower.

They’re not going to have a choice but to ride Canady and hope she holds up for two games. They aren’t going to win with Vawter
