Tennessee Softball 2023

Well obviously it sucks that this is how it ended, but I think in a few days most people here will have nothing but pride and love for this team. An SEC regular season championship, an SEC tournament championship, a top 4 seed, made it back to the WCWS in 7 years. It has been a hell of a ride for this group & I’m glad Ashley got to pitch and experience the WCWS.

I’m hoping that this off-season there is a lot of growth, we get a couple of good transfers, & the 3 coming in are ready to not only make an impact, but produce at a high level.

The pitching will always be the achilles hill of this program and I’m hoping that something changes. KP and PG are both on the same level in my eyes (one or other doesn’t appear to be the new AR). We will have some growing pains in the circle unless we get a really good transfer.

As far as offense goes we need G & Lou to be more productive, not necessarily all-american level production but good enough to where we trust them late in the tournament. Brock & KT are decent hitters but can’t compete against high level pitching.

It’s been a hell of a year & I’m already excited for next season.

What do you think though Kregman? You watch a lot of softball. If Rogers pitched against OU the way she pitched against State last night, I think Lady Vols could have been in it late. I don't think Stanford is any better than the LV's and they pushed them twice.

It might have been close but our hitting has gone AWOL. We still be where we are and maybe getting beat yesterday.
