She looked off in the WCWS for sure. Didn’t look like the same player we’d seen the last few weeks

This may be me, but I feel like typical with our recruiting classes we have like 1 or 2 players that are capable of being starters. I think if we can start getting classes that have 3 or 4 players that are capable it would be more competitive against the girls and that the ones starting have the talent

Well from what ive looked up our 2023 class only has 3 total players in it

Yes the broadcast alluded to other situations behind the scenes so one can only guess Payton was also not 100%. Overall a great season. SEC sweep, and it felt great to get the regional monkey off the back. Semifinals appearance is nothing to scoff at, especially having to play FSU and Oklahoma along the way. The team can only get better and I believe there will be some transfers brought in to help. AR great career and will be sorely missed.

Out of 306 D-1 softball teams, you were one of the last 4 standing. I'd say that was a successful season by anybody's standard. Just get after 'em again next year.

I’m sorry I just don’t see how anyone is upset at how this season went. Nobody expected this team to do this before the season started. We were preseason #13 in the country, I believe. FSU is the better team. They’ve been better all season. We swept the SEC titles and got the best NCAAT seed in program history. Yes the offense was disappointing at the end, but we were never favored to beat FSU let alone beat them twice.

If youre going back to the Abbott days, I agree we lost with her being timid on offense.
However Karen seems to be changing her approach to hitting. Karlyn has the potential to be Elite, we just need someone to compliment her.
Also like I mentioned earlier we have 6 hitters hitting under .300. You cant have that in major college softball.

Im willing to give the Malveaux;s another year to see what they can do with our hitting. Its gotten better its just not where it needs to be.

Congratulations to FSU, they deserved to win. We have a very good team that put together a magical season.

It will be interesting to see if Karen uses Tennessee's new found success to dominate the portal. Let's hope so! Tonight provided a roadmap on where we need to focus our recruiting. The great teams in softball have an edge on us. Let's go to work!

Choking is what happened to UCLA. Or what Rick Barnes’ teams do in postseason. Having wins vs the 5 seed (overseeded but still) and 6 seed while losing to 1 and 3 in the WCWS after not even really being challenged in post season until then isn’t choking. That’s playing to your seed.
