Portal Rumors: Alabama outfielder in portal to Florida and hot off the press Jordy Bahl to Nebraska. Sounds like teammates leaked that this morning but not seeing anything to back that up.

We'll take Bahl for sure. Surely she won't choose Nebraska, Vols will be a better choice for her. LOL

She's Australian. She's not going home after 1 year. She's possibly looking at moving to the West Coast if she is transferring, but I'd say she's staying in Knoxville.

Her boyfriend plays baseball for Nebraska, and she's obviously from the state, that's where this is coming from. I'd be surprised if it ends up really happening, but she has supposedly mentioned it before. Spends more time at Nebraska than the coaches would prefer. Missed a big recruiting weekend last fall, which was some big conflict.

I didn't realise that she wasn't on a scholarship. I thought she signed a scholarship prior to leaving Australia like Jess Rennie did when she left to play basketball.

Keep in mind softball has 11.5 scholarships for 22 players where as basketball is a full scholarship sport unless you are a walk-on.

NCAA should really consider cutting basketball scholarships in women's basketball to 13 and upping softball to 15. Roster limit of 25 would then offer 0.6 scholarship per player. No reason for women's basketball to have 15 no one can play that many effectively in a season.

Great idea, but schools that don’t have softball with potentially be put in a title IX issue if their equivalency numbers are not where they need to be by losing two scholarships in women’s basketball.

That is going to hurt their other pitchers are not on her level. They may lose a few games next year. I wonder what our pitching plans are and if we have anyone lined up. At this point we only have White for midweek.

Yes we need ideally two pitchers. Tough to lose Orsini because she could’ve taken midweek work for sure and she was a walk on. Hopefully we can get keeney or someone else established, but you have to know OU is knocking on everyone’s door now…

Good call….that’s a bold move on her end but to her benefit her legacy is cemented. Now she can be close to home, boost Nebraska and be done.

Don't see it ever happening never take 2 BB scholarships away to give to another sport

She made a comment that stuck out. After winning you celebrate all night and then you wake up the next morning and it’s time to move on to the next day.

That’s part of being in a winning culture that you just take it for granted and might be different after you lose a few games. If anyone can get Nebraska to win a national championship it’s her.
