Tennessee Softball 2023

No way 4 pitchers will be enough this year because it will be pitcher by comity most games just to get through 7 innings. The key to this season will be score as many runs as possible. What happens if a pitcher gets hurt. Then what??? Tennessee is the most hurt team in the country over the last couple years. I’m not a college coach but I’m smart enough to know we aren’t in a good situation with our pitching staff going into this season. Putting all our eggs into 1 basket in hopes of getting Kearny backfired huge. Pitchers are who they are and Karlyn will give us a few good games but we are going to get more bad than good. That’s the type of pitcher she’s been her whole career. Hopefully I’m wrong because we aren’t going to have the luxury of pulling her out when she gets into trouble this year like Karen did last year. I would like to know the reason for not bringing in a pitcher in the 2023 class. Not landing a big name pitcher is deflating going into this year after last years season the girls had and what the BoostHer Club is doing for the players. Lady Vols should’ve been a highly desired destination this offseason

I was told Karen was looking to only add one, and that was even while Charli and Simpson hit the portal. If the right one landed we were still only going to have 4 (unless two of the targeted ones somehow wanted to come). At that point it was early in the summer and they felt good about those selected. But as time moved on and those few starting fall off the board it was obvious they needed to secure Orsini back. That was why I asked DP if he knew of looks Charli was getting because it was silent, maybe for this reason - I’m speculating on my end.

The season does fall on all 4 staying healthy and the development of 3 of the 4 (excluding PG) to be game ready for not midweek but SEC as well. I’d bet they make a run in December to grab an insurance policy arm, won’t be popular with the board but I can see them taking a chance to have another arm.

It’s Tennessee and everyone else at this point. Had a great summer putting up massive numbers, 24HRS and 82RBIS. It’ll be interesting to see if she stays with the Bombers or makes a move to national team closer to home. She and Ana Roman (Florida HS) are the two best 2025’s I’ve seen. I wouldn’t be surprised if she enrolls early at Tennessee as she won’t see a season like this year again in regards to getting at bats.

And no, we are not touching Roman. She will be courted by everyone, I could see her at FSU with a few of her Mojo teammates.

RebKel, I like games/puzzles where I have to use my brain, so play Sudoku almost daily. So for some reason, after reading your post, I bought a speed/magnetic Rubik’s cube. Now I’m looking for the best tutorial for beginners because I’m stuck on step 3. 🤪

JPerm and Cubehead and TheCubicle and BrodytheCuber () all of them are good. (all youtube)
Yes I also solve sudoku almost daily. Easybrain is the app, I mostly use for Sudoku.

After the stroke I had, I thought I was lost, still has tinkering for puzzles and programming(it didn't go that fast on the programming) Terrible on the memory, I kept thinking I know that, but it wouldn't come to me, I know, I know but I forgot. LOL Thank all the people that helped along the way. You can't beat them they are GREAT and I salute you. 👍 I'm not that religious, but they are doing God's work(Occupational Therapists).
