I’m surprised with this outcome. I was afraid last night’s loss would haunt us. Losing @ home is always tougher imo. But it’s worse losing to Bama, esp when you think you have the better team.

Hopefully we will when a different outcome next yr.

My final comment - the last bat they had last night with a runner on 3rd . . . If they would have run the bunt play they ran tonight to get their only run (yes I know we had 2 outs) . . . We would have had a good chance to win.

Bottom line - no hitters this series. Bats went cold at a the worst time.

A lot of what-ifs to be thought through for Karen. A lot. the two best hits of the day, Nugent and Mealer did what I talked about last night...attacked the elevated pitches and had a good hand path to be able to drive the ball rather than trying to lift in.
