So, why do we play regular season games again?

The AD doesn’t dictate assistant hires. Assistants report to the HC and the HC controls who gets hired or fired on staff. It’s on Karen to make the changes.

And the HC reports to the AD. In my many years of College sports experiences, AD's have made suggestions about staff changes, during the yearly evaluation. And often, it is changes or else.

You’re right. We needed a single run yesterday and couldn’t find one in 12 innings. Karlyn pitched her heart out. The crazy thing is, I don’t think Bama is that good. Beaver didn’t look unhittable.

To be fair, I said this before (albeit on the Reddit thread, not this one) that I had a bad feeling when I read out the bracket to supers and realized it would be Bama. Hard to play someone 7 times and beat ‘em 4 or 5. Especially when it’s a rival. Especially when it’s Bama. And especially in a high-stakes game. *sigh* Still gonna rock with the orange and white, but man… This one hurt.

Alabama has the best softball pitching staff in college softball. We did not score many runs against them in he last two weeks and they took us to the woodshed.

for those who want the head coach gone…who is better that you could reasonably get?

I don’t want her gone. I want her to change or go. Her Choice, you must grow every season. She wasted CWS winning type talent this year. Whether she needs to call the pitches different, get different assistants, whatever she has to do but status quo is not acceptable. For those that don’t realize…..The SEC will be exponentially harder next year with Texas and OU and there are going to be several SEC teams not named UT in CWS.
