Tennessee Softball 2024

Anyone can go on Twitter, VolNation, or anywhere else online and anonymously make claims. They don't even have to be anonymous, they can just use the old "sources say" journalistic trick. Even "journalists" get it wrong when they are speculating based on rumor, internet chat, etc.

The reality is that we don't know and most likely won't ever know for certain, unless we have seen the signed contract - which I doubt DeerPark or anyone else on here or anywhere else online has. I know I haven't and the people I talk to haven't. Perhaps he has. If so, I will stand corrected.

Money changing hands for players goes way back and is assumed to be the primary motivator for kids who go to a school. With NIL, it's more "above board", but still leaves tons of room for speculation which is what I think is going on. The NCAA doesn't seem to have much worth anymore, but one thing that they could do is require all NIL deals to be disclosed. That would help shut down the rumors, and kids playing the schools against one another with bluffs of how much another school has offered. It won't end it all, there will still be cash under the table or in McDonald's bags, but might level it out some.
This is absolutely correct. And sadly, my uncle bankrolled many UT football players.

Stupid question, always lol
The Portal has closed, is they're any limit on transferring to a new school?
Players can announce anytime. No signing, just getting enrolled for fall is all that’s needed.

Grad transfers can still enter portal through

a conversation with Karen Weekly, 2004. I had a weekly program on public access television from 2003 - 2006. Our mediation community. I watched my conversation with Karen Weekly today for the first time two decades. We discussed her recruiting of young women athletes and the importance of their being aware they would be required to work hard both on the field and in the classroom. She emphasized the importance of knowing one's role on the team, and being accountable. If a player, a young woman makes a mistake in the field or otherwise - be accountable, accept responsibility - and then the individual and the team moves on. (an important tenant of mediation). I enjoyed my opportunity to revisit my old self but as I watched I could not help thinking about the current college sports and so many examples where those simple expectations , are now so much more complex.

for those who were not followers during that time, in2003 the LVs with a superior ranking were neverless sent to UMichigan. The weather was terrible and the NCAA rules required the three games to be played Fri-Sunday. the third game started at 11:59 pm Sunday evening in bad weather and the team loss.

hope you found of some interest

My thoughts is she’s either back at Stanford because of the threat of tampering if she goes to OU or she’s buying time to die down.
Tampering? Name one situation where a player got in trouble for that. Football has way more of it going on and nothing happens

It wouldn’t be the player…no need to but, but, but as a means for being acceptable in one sport being acceptable in softball.

You also don’t need to attempt to defend your school here either.

Not defending… I just don’t think teams, coaches or players have any concern of getting in trouble for tampering.
