Tennessee Softball 2025

Chris and Kate with there first portal pickup with SJ from Oklahoma. That’s probably not a good first pickup.

Sounds like Canady is giving Texas an opportunity to match Oklahoma’s NLI offer. Her family would prefer Texas overall Oklahoma.

Sage is at Georgia this week and they have a nice NLI package waiting for her on her upcoming visit.

Could someone please explain the NLI to me. Are the coaches able to be apart of the NLI deals with the players or does that have to be a 3rd party? Where does Tennessee sit with NLI money and deals? This is the 2nd year in a row we can’t get a pitcher. Can the school give any NLI money
That’s how bidding wars go. School “A” offers NIL of xyz. Then family tells school B they really want to go there but they need to be able to beat school A in NIL… Then they go back to school A and say we really want to go there but you gotta be able to beat school B in NIL and you do that so on and so forth until you have a winner.

Does anyone know why Skyler Wallace isn’t playing in AU…. She failed the drug test, so I’m guessing they don’t test college athletes anymore???

Tonight’s game reminds me of the softball series against Alabama. Can’t Hit and taking strikes with runners in scoring position.

How much does Brockenbrough leaving hurt the LVs?
Clemson people are acting like they won the lottery and saying the Vols are claiming it was NIL-related.
I guess they need to be thrown a bone every now and then, as their program has regressed 🤷‍♂️

It doesn’t. Solid player, but not irreplaceable

If she had any sense about the future, she’d be considering the value of the degree to some extent. Oklahoma’s standing as an academic institution is wayyyyy down the list.

Even one million won’t set a young person for life.

One million for any 20 year old properly invested and not squandered away would set any young person up for life. Make them rich, No. Allow them to party like a rock star in school and still be set for life, no again.

Set for life, yes if invested properly but they would still need to get a reasonable degree and job.

At 10% return money doubles every 7yr. A big NIL worth way more than an athlete with a Stanford degree

Under the 4% rule, that is 40,000 per year. I guess she could live on that…but not very well.

Moving goal posts. You original post said set her up for life.

I said if she invested it properly and still got a reasonable degree and job she would be set for life.

I never said she would be rich enough to retire and not work.

Didn’t see your last sentence.

And that leads to my point…a Stanford or Texas degree is much more valuable than Oklahoma.

But, it doesn’t really matter…it isn’t our decision.

Congrats to Baseball! Maybe softball can do it one day! As of today this seems like a potential lineup: LF Gabby CF Alannah RF Taylor 1B Boo 2B Bella SS Laura 3B Kinsey C/DP Sophia C/DP Elsa (if she enrolls early), that leaves Des, Katie, Amayah and Emma (both highly rated but you never know) challenging for PT. Overall it seems 1 bat short. Hate Arkansas got Wyckoff.

That leaves us hoping to pick up a solid pitcher in the next few days/weeks to support Karlyn. If not, Erin and Peyton will just have to step up. As stated earlier don’t know if we can sign a pitcher and get Elsa early, I hope we can.
